M Unit Nice summary. Since you took the time to give so much info, I'm sure you won't mind a few minor observations/corrections. First: 47m- JHS 10? on backline didn’t play the ball as he was feeling pressure from Cro ? in the box and Cro was awarded an indirect kick in the box. Your questionmark is correct. It was another defender, not #10, called for obstruction as he shielded the player while the ball rolled out. That move happens all the time without a call-not this time. Second: 72m- JHS ? took another corner kick that made it to JHS ? for yet another header that went to the GK. That was No. 10. He is brought up from his defensive position on every corner kick. This was his 3rd header on target of the night. He also takes the free kicks that led to an assist for 3 of the 7 goals scored against BM and 1 of the goals against Rummel. Thanks for noticing the defense. Jesuit's back line hasn't broken all year, and the two senior center defenders 14-Quinn and 10-Bourgeois have led the way. Defenders are like linemen in football--they are invisible to the vast majority of the spectators. Unless you know what you are looking for, all you see is the big hole that the running back runs through for the touchdown and victory dance. All you generally read about in the paper is the guy who scored. For all you defenders------"YOU ARE NOTICED AND APPRECIATED"

Thanks to M Unit for the detailed game summary. Thanks also to timerman for the supplemental info.
I have seen JHS playoff games v. Northshore, Bonnebel and Brother Martin. With the exception of the BroMart second half, advantage on the field has been lopsided in JHS' favor. Even in the BroMart second half, every JHS keeper touch was routine, except for a soft (but well placed) ball that was pushed over the bar for a corner.
Someone close to the JHS program told me in the beginning of the season that the defense would shine on this year's team. Looks like an accurate assessment.
