STM not ranked in the top 10...? not remember they moved up

stm wont be able to win all of the hard games they play in a row...they will not be a big threat next year... butthey are a really good team... i still say jesuit is the team to beat.

no team did this year except jesuit...so that leaves spots 2-10 open and im pretty sure if u win 1-0 and 2-0 thats a win unless there counting backwards or somethin

district will be us, Acadiana, sulphur, comeaux, and westgate...no offense to those teams i dont list but i only see 1 top 10 team...Acadiana

i also feel what hurt us in past playoffs was a lack of strong teams to play and we werent prepared for the playoffs when we would meet vandy so i believe this stregnth of schedule will help maybe not our record but our playoff run which is the only thing that counts.

yeah i'd say that too, but if thats the case why not play more of a DI schedule in regular season? definately prepares a team in DII enough for playoffs.

Next year's D1 rankings should vary the entire year from 1-10. There are a lot of competitive, respectable teams, and barring something unforseen, there should not be a team as dominant as this year's Jesuit. Jesuit was clearly the best team in the state this year, as only a few competitive teams gave Jesuit a solid game. However, there should not be a team in the "elite" class that Jesuit stayed in the entire year. There should be many teams in the running for the state championship. Jesuit should not be dominant, but they will reload. They will have the coaching and talent to repeat, but I would not expect another undefeated season. Brother Martin should be very strong. They will certainly give Jesuit a run for the top spot in district. Fontainebleau loses 8 seniors, but they had several good underclassmen sitting on the bench this year. They may lose a step, but will certainly still be competitive. St. Paul's loses 4 or 5 very good seniors. However, they should also overcome this and be more consistent in the regular season. I don't know much about St. Thomas More, but I have heard they have a talented roster and do not lose many seniors. Lafayette, Acadiana, and Carencro should field strong teams next year, and one of these teams will probably emerge as a powerhouse. Rummel will maintain its aggressive, fast style. They will have enough strong players to give the top teams a good game. Last, but not least, there's Caddo Magnet. They lose very few seniors, but losing Johnson up top will hurt. However, they will have strong upperclassmen and also good underclassmen coming from their club teams. I will not make judgment calls on Catholic, Captain Shreve, Dutchtown, or St. Amant. I expect they will be good teams as well.

I wouldnt throw Fontainebleau up there preseason. They are losing somewhere close to 13 or 14 seniors, 9 of which started, and most others played regularly. They lose their whole defense and half of midfield and forwards. 07 was probably their most talented class, although i have heard that their freshman werent too bad..

St pauls should def be top 5. They started how many seniors? about 3 to 5 a game, so their backbone was younger guys. They are losing frankie, but they still have pellisier, and a host of other great solid players.

STM loses 1 starter and will probably start 11 seniors. This team will be loaded. If someone does not have them in the top 10, they are not familiar with the quality of soocer that comes out of Lafayette.

FHS actually started 8, not 9 seniors and lose I believe 12 overall. But don't count them out. The three returning starters should be great next year and this year's junior class had many who could of started on some other solid teams but they unfortunately didn't get very much time because of the massive amount of talent this year's senior class provided. The defense will not be the same, but the goalie will be. He played great all year especially for a sophmore playing with absolutely no varsity experience coming into the season. The offense should be quite strong with Brooks returning. Plus he'll be getting plenty of help from players like Chad Hrapmann, Peyton Adkins, and Brett Duncan. You might not know Duncan or Peyton, but watch out. They can play. Just as the rest of the team should be more than capable of doing.

i agree with d1d5fan. st pauls will be very strong again next year. they lose starters frank breedon, phil gilles, matt daniels, todd landry, and keeper ross weideman. the loss of frank will hurt them but they will have someone step up to help guy next year. phill had about 4 backups defensively only one of which was a senior. midfield is fine with pelissier still there and others off the very deep junior bench will fill in where matt and todd are leaving empty. ross will be replaced by mcdougal who actually started over ross as a sophomore.

so there it is. st pauls will be just as complete next year as they were in the finals this year as soon as watkins figures out who will be helping guy create chaos up top.

The problem with STM is that they are a good D2 team, but Lafayette, Carencro, and Acadiana should be ranked ahead. STM always has good recrods, but they play alot of weak teams. Don't be surprised if STM ends with 4 district losses, maybe 5 next year. THey are top 15 D1, but not top 10 yet.

STM's district next year is : STM, Acadiana, Sulphur, Barbe, and Comeaux. If you see 5 losses , then you don't know much about STM's roster and you're just mouthing off.
