I'm trying to limit the number of JV teams if I can....if I can't fill the last few spots with Varsity teams by EARLY October, then I'll definitely consider CL JV, if their Varsity isn't interested.

The field is set and finalized as long as we don't have cancellations. See page 1 for the list of who's in.

The brackets have been posted on the first page. Game times will be sent to coaches and posted at a later date.
VERY EXCITED about this tournament...thanks for all the coaches and teams committing to come to the Third Annual Bayou Invitational Champion's Cup.

Looks like you hurt District Champ, Tara's feelings by not initially handing out the old invite. By all means they did draw the perennial power house Zachary in the first round last year and beat them handily. Unfortunately, Pineville snuck up on them. That should count for something. Shouldn't it??? LOL.....

Looks like STM gets an early taste of 5A with Jesuit, BR & Dutchtown. Can't think of a better way to shed the 4A cake walks. May not break bracket but should learn a lot about tougher 5A teams.

How many state championships does STM in 4a. Should have quite a few if it is a cakewalk. Still couldn't beat Vandy from what I remember.

LHSAA puts together a book that lists all of the schools and the coaches by sport. It does fall short in giving you their direct e-mail address, but that could be solved by a phone call. The problem is that the number of phone calls would certainly take more time than I would be willing to spend on it. What I started doing is taking down our typical oppenants' emails and phone numbers so I could contact this the following year directly and get everything lined up quickly. However, it falls short of being able to coaches we don't know play in tournaments that we host. (Or someone in the same situation). And it is not always easy trying to get some tournament information posted on this board.

How are the semi-finals going to be set up? A-D, B-C, or what?

The two winners of the 4-team groups and top 2 point totals from the six teams in cross bracketed groups will be seeded based on their point totals in group play. #1 seed will play #4 seed and 2 v. 3, however no one will play the same opponent from group play in the semis, if the points were to indicate that.

Perhaps next year we will see some teams from Mississippi and Texas or ? joining in the fun. I think that could make this THE tournament to get into.
