Curious about the poll: Catholic beat Fontainebleau and EA in scrimmages but is ranked below them at this early point in the season? I'm not voting in the poll this year but when I did in the past, I never put too much into preseason scrimmages. Most teams are just trying to fit players in the right positions and a lot of teams don't even have their whole team together as of yet. With that said, I saw Catholic play this past weekend and thought they looked pretty good. Most people voting are probably going by total overall records. I probably would have ranked them a little higher had I been voting.

These Div I rankings this early in the season can't be taken very seriously. Other than Jesuit, Acadiana, St. Paul's, and STM all the others' results are too inconsistent to come to any conclusion or they lack quality wins. Jesuit, St. Paul's, and STM all have performed well against good teams. Acadiana has a tie with Jesuit and that's enough for me. Brother Martin's only wins have been against two DIII teams and a Div I team (Cath BR) that itself has no win against a Top 10. East Ascension has piled up 6 wins, but none against a Div I Top 10. Same for F'bleau. St. Amant has no quality wins. Caddo has only played once and probably won't see a Top-10 team until the St. Paul tournament. Maybe it should just be a Top 5 until mid-season.
