My mom said she heard that the U-17 & U-18 Lafreniere and NOSA teams will be merging together. Anyone else heard about this?

This shows your intelligence level by having to use that word, but... For those who really care---the merger talks took place last night and they are waiting for Kenny to get back on Sunday to finalize the details. Robin Dixon will coach the U-17's and Kenny the U-18's. How do I know? I am a former Lafreniere player who has been contacted about playing on the U-17 team. This will be great for soccer and these two clubs who have been at odds for the past several years.

Yeh I was asked to play for this team too....do u think it looks promising? Where would you play if not there? I am a former Lafreniere player too who finds this whole thing kinda wierd, but it should benefit us since most kids have gone elsewhere to play.

i still don't see why either club would do this, Nosa only lost one player to graduation in lube, and benson switched to baton rouge. Lafreniere only lost casey and john peak if im correct, so why would they combine?? its not like one team was seriously weakend...

Yea, I played with Tyler and he tried out with Lakeview but was injuried and Hubie didn't give him any consideration. He is a very good player and much better than the one's he kept like Austin Conn. They need offense and at least he would have shot the ball. They aren't going to get any offense from Wayne P. He will just dribble around in circles and lose it .Hubie-that was not smart...Oh, but Pearce goes to almighty Jesuit. How the Burn keeps getting better is a mystery to me and everyone says every year that they won't win state and guess what they win again but then they pick up good players every year and this year its Cochran and two of the Crews best players.

Update on people......SUPPOSEDLY Martinez, Arriaga, Alex Stuart, Keith Gaffney, Pablo, Jon Tilghman, Cochran, and myself are to be the players other than original NOSA people to play for this team. Last I heard abt Jon and Cochran was Cochran was wherever Jon was and Jon could no longer make the Lafayette drive so he was looking for a team in the area to play on. Dixon talked to most of us on the phone saying how he had about 9 or 10 quality NOSA kids from last year that he wanted to put on this team. But like one of these guys said earlier, no one has met up yet to finalize anything. But I'm pretty positive it'll happen anyway. And about the older team, Lafreniere lost more than just Peak and Casey, they lost about 4 or 5 more as well, they have something like 13 now. And by the way, who are you soccerluv? I kno you are a former teammate, and you obviously aren't a fan of Hubie's Jesuit crap at Lakeview, where do you go to school?

The U-17 NOSA team may be better than people think. It will take the fall season to get them to jell, but I think they have the core of 8 or 9 quality players. The rumors say that Cochran is now playing for them and that will make them stronger. Where is Tillman still at the Burn

Tilghman has not been to practice or team camp; hear he is injured and sitting out the fall season; not sure if he is actually on the roster or not

Tilghman has not been to practice or team camp; hear he is injured and sitting out the fall season; not sure if he is actually on the roster or not I talked to him at school and he is not injuried, but just taking a break. The fall season is only 6 or 7 weeks long and he plans to play in Florida during high school again.
