Dang i wish i was that big last year!
Ghandi as a sophmore I think your doing a great job... I was in the same situation last year at Sulphur. I know how hard it is to have that much pressure and seeing you play I mistook you for a Senoir. Also inconsistantcy is something every keeper struggles with, mainly because it is so noticeable when you mess up.... It's in the back of the net! So Ghandi keep it up I think your doing awesome as a Sophmore on a great team.

Yeah Ghandi last year I was a sophomore and when we played STM it was the first big game and of course we got dominated. But 1-0 ain't a bad score. Keep it up

I think that OC's keeper, Oliver LeBlanc, is one of the best out there. The kid is only a sophomore and he is playing like a senior. I think he is all-state material.

Too many people overlook Division II keepers...especially out of Alexandria. ASH has always had a great keeper. First, Winn Morris who was incredible, somewhat because of his defense, was the best keeper in the district. Now, Ian Ragsdale is their keeper. He is defintely a keeper to be reckoned with. I have never seen him be inconsistent and if continues playing the way he has been, he will definitely go somewhere in life with it. Without him in the STM game last year in the playoffs, ASH would have been obliterated. He was the only sophomore to start also...the other ten were seniors.

Firebirdsoccer mentioned the ash keepers but i think it was more the defence last year. They defended well last year and never let us get a good look on goal. I think there gk relied on the good defence.

I am inclined to agree with firebirdsoccer. I've personally witness Ian Ragsdale, the goalkeeper from Alexandria Senior High (ASH), playing without a strong defense and he is incredible. Last year against STM, he had a strong defense, but his saves kept ASH in the game, and kept it to a 1-0 halt. I would put my vote on Ian being the best goalkeeper because, as firebird states, of his consistency and efficiency.

I saw the ash keeper in the showcase tournament and i thought he was ok but there are better keepers. But ive only seen in high school what is he like for his club team.

What'd you see in Showcase? Wasn't a very good tournament for us this year but if you were at the sulphur tourney, assuming you play for lafayette, I thought that was a pretty decent performance against ya'll. A few good saves to keep us 1-0 up in the first half. Second half weather kinda had an effect. But last year I didn't "rely" on the defense, it's obvious this year. I feel I could compete with the people everybody says are the best, Cpt Shreve and Barbe's. Ask anybody who's seen me have a good performance and they'll agree I think. Not really trying to brag or anything because I never take credit for anything in a game. But I don't think anybody should overlook some team's keepers just because the team may not be a top team in the state.

I have to agree that both Ray Savoie and Ian Ragsdale are both good Keepers as I know them both. I have also seen their club teams play against eachother in which both keepers had great games and the game ended up 0-0.

Posted by: futbolfanatic teurlings catholic- ray savoie- great keeper, one of the best i've seen in a while. only a soph. so has 2 more years to shine! Teurlings Catholic's keeper Ray Savoie is a very good keeper. I wouldnt say he is great b/c he still has things to learn. If he would grow alittle it would help alot but he makes up for it with his heart in the net. He still has plenty of time to get better but he also needs a defence around him and from the looks of the TCH v. U-High game he didnt have much. if your talking about Teurlings game against University.... we had no defense... football was still going on and they had our whole back line... our defense is very strong and competitive now
