2003 was a great year with a lot of parity throughout the state. What teams will be strong next year?
In Division I, Jesuit will always be strong every year, but who will be able to give them a run for thier money? Lafayette seems to have some good talent coming back next year. And Brother Martin had an off year compared to usual, but were young this year.
In Division II, Vandebilt has a very good group of freshmen and sophmores, but they won't be good enough to win next year. I think that St. Thomas More should be the favorite next year. I'm sure that Pineville, Alexandria, and Ben Franklin will have strong teams, but until they can at least get to the finals, its hard to consider any of them the favorites. Another team that will play in Division II next year is Loyola. Whoever wins the district between Parkway, Loyola, and Neville should have a chance to play STM in the finals.
In Division III, I think that the two teams in the finals this year will be there next year. The majority STA and St. Louis were still juniors and even had a few sophomores. Newman will always be very good, but I don't think that they will be able to beat STA or St. Louis. Some other teams to watch that had very young teams this year will be St. Martin's, Westminster, and St. Frederick.

yeah, in District II it should be either Parkway or Loyola facing STM in the finals because Neville will not have a chance because they are loosing 13 seniors this year including Mario and Alex

Parkway beat Loyola every time they played this season, but that was with Barcelona. Who does everybody think will take district next year?

ST.amnt has a chance next year because of the seniors they have are there leaders and the sophmores they have have tons of ability. OH YEA cant forget about the ricardo factor. With a year of seasoning they could do their best ever. IF THEY WANT IT and keep playing wit HEART!!!

Traditionally being a Lafayette supporter, I usually hype up LHS, but after watching games this year, and seeing what talent teams lose, I think Jesuit will be the team to beat. They have a lot of talent returning. I think BM had a young team this year, and I think they will be top 5 next year. I also think Acadiana will be the favorite in district 3 next year. They lose some senior leadership, but they return alot too. I think Lafayette will be competitive next year, but I am not sure if they can go all the way. In 2 years they should be a very strong team. I think Lafayette will be in the top 7 team in Division I. Mandeville will be a strong team, and Central Lafourche looks to be very solid as well.
I am not sure about who returns in the smaller divisions so I can't really comment.

DIV III Report St. Louis- Still a good team but losing HOnore and other Key seniors will force young players to step up STA-No idea, but i heard they had at least 5 or 6 seniors to graduate Newman-I know they lose Chris Arnold one of the best forwards in state Parkview-nothing, they were all Seniors St. Fred's-looked decent for being so young OC-they lose the only PLAYER on the team in Tyler M. I just don't think they can hang without him, but maybe they'll prove all of us wrong Catholic HIgh-Most of their team was seniors, will be back to were they were 2 years ago........not good Notre Dame-is a joke ESA-decent team this year, depending on how many seniors graduate from the team will depend on team play next year University-lose Wylie and other key seniors, def weakened St. Martin's- I think these guys are gonna give St. Louis and STA a run for their money, most of their players will only be sophomore's with a year of varsity play behind them WCA-young team, have chance to play underdog spoiler role Loyola, Episcopal, Country Day,ED White- No clue

Sorry again but lapira will take honore's place. coach rotated people in and out enough that the subs could be starters. only one wing player actually will be replaced

ESA is going to be decent next year, will prolly get runner-up in their division behind St. Louis. They are losing only 2 defenders (one was second team all state) but they dont lose ne of their attacking players and their freshman made first team all state. and have potential 2 others coming out of there center mids. if ESA can find sum1 to fill their holes, look for them 2 surprise many people next year

Alexandria has several returning starters and a few freshmen that will step it up for next year. I think that they will avenge their horrible end to the 2003 season in 2004.

After watching some St. Louis games, even with Honore leaving, Lapira and the other young kid should dominate everyones midfield, and that defense is all coming back.

I happen to think that any team can win on any given day. I also think that just because OC is losing Tyler that it doesnt mean that they wont win because Tyler hogged the ball alot (and dont get me wrong he was a great player) but OC does have alot of players that are also very good but you didnt get to see as much because of Tyler but this year we all will be able to see them yes OC will lose a few good players but there are alot of good Freshman Sophs. and juniors coming back and there are plenty of 8th graders that are better than others that didnt play this year and will be a BIG help...but I would like to say Good Luck to everyone and have a fun and safe season!

I recommend you learn how to use puncuations, such as periods and commas so people will have an easier time reading your post... Unless you want everybody to know you are an 8th grader.

St. Paul will be the odds on favorite to win the Northshore league and make a deep run into the playoffs. Scoring often will be the key to success as the Wolves boast the top two scorers retuning in district play. Wins against a weakened Covington squad and a young Mandeville squad will push them to the top. Once we are in the playoffs....lookout state, the trophy is ours!

OC made a great deal of prgress as a program this year, they made a name for themselves and have the eye of both of the teams that played in the Finals. As they beat STL once this year and lost in the Quaters to STA after several OT's and PKs. They play a different style of soccer and it can be very difficult to play against. Tyler Martin was a Good Player but sometimes when you remove the one center piece other players are able to become effective. I would look for St.Martins, St.Louis, Opelousas Catholic, and STA/St.Fredricks to the Final Four Teams in D3 This year.
