11:45 am gamesHaynes 0 vs Neville 2 Home (thank goodness), team totally out of gas, 5 starters out in second half, improper hydration, cramps, bruises from the Neville defense. Talk about "letting the boys play!" My goodness! Gave up a confused crossing goal mid way first half, and then missed open goals twice on point blank tap ins. A second half corner conversion iced it for Neville. All the on-field "banter" about Katrina, New Orleans, etc., and the incredibly physically defense (the same player was warned three times within 5 mins... play stopped, warned...) allowed Neville to deservidly advance from the group ... because Rapides, playing their heads off, gave up a last minute goal allowing Op Cath (who had defeated Neville early on) to tie. A great tournament, and very good for our team... also a lesson. I doubt we could have fielded a competent team had we advanced, so depleted were our troops. Which is absolutely the coach's fault. Though the suggestion was advanced Friday night to drink lots of fluid, boys have other things on their mind. I recommend a coach actually watch each player consume a quart of gatoraid after the Friday night game, supervise water consuption before Sat. morning game, and again physically watch each player drink another quart of energy drink after the morning game. Energy bars, pasta, etc., only provide energy. Dehdration is a killer. We enjoyed ourselfs, now have a good strech of games before x-mas break including Country Day and Newman. I think we'll be ready to compete. Regards, all.

Is there a retweet button? I mean really, who's voting this year? The polls, in DII at least, seem off. No way a team like vandy should be losing 0-3 in 25 min halves to a team not even near the top 5. Come on voters, stop going with traditional teams and start awarding success.

I dunno. I'm admittedly not as experienced with all these teams as some are. But, I don't see anything really out of whack with the ratings. (ED White and Alexandria are both highly ranked too so I wouldn't worry much if I were you guys). At least from the parts I saw, it was a great tournament with some exciting close games. There is a lot of soccer ahead for things to sort themselves out based on play.

Just wanted to pipe up and say congrats on an excellently ran tournament Chad. Lots of talent and a great opportunity to see teams from all over the state. Even though RA got our arses handed to us, it was a great experience and one I'd definitely recommend to other schools.

However, VCHS did show resiliency to beat a team ranked higher than them later 2-0 (2 goals also disallowed). Maybe you should worry about your team up there in Thibodaux and stop bashing another team to politic your team up the rankings. Good teams do the talking on the field and you're only as good as your last result. Congratulations to all who participated this weekend win, lose, or draw. Chad another fantastic tournament. We can't wait to do it again next year.

As a ref and someone who watched most of this tournament, I saw of soccer and DII is wide open. But curious to know when you watched Beau Chene as ED White players who played at the same time? I did get to watch some games, and Country Day with 11 players played you to a 1-0 game? Episcopal BR gave you a 2-1 game last night? Just want to make sure if you want to hide behind a username and think no one sees your past posts always seem target Vandebilt and Beau Chene. I asked around and still don't think your coach would think highly of you poking the hungry bear? I don't see you playing Beau Chene an maybe you will meet up in playoffs, but Vandebilt now has some nice lockerroom posts to talk about! Good pic with that boys! Hope you don't really regret saying those things about a district rival. One thing I noticed about those two "classy" teams, their players don't get on a message board to talk smack about top teams. They usually respect opponents and coaches. Remember also, if you knew how to politic, you would not disrespect a team, pump your teams accomplishments up. What did you do again this weekend and season? Good luck. #blasted since we're on the subject of twitter
