If they are going to be spoilers they need to start scoring. That was their first goal in district play

When I think of spoilers I think of a team that breaks into the playoffs from out of nowhere. I don't think of a team that will win maybe 3 games in district a spoiler. Comeaux is the spoiler of district 3 right now. They are in the position to make it to the playoffs instead of Sulphur.

So then NISH woudn't be a spoiler allowing say Sulphur or someone else to squeek in because they put comeaux 1 game out

hmmmm....joey0402....u make me lauph. Im not trying to be mean or anything b/c thats not my style, but you over exagerated EVERY statement that u said. Como definately controled the game. maybe not dominate, but did control it for the most part. As for the shots, most were were rips. You are correct on them going wide, but weak. I myself hit 2 that were about a foot or 2 off target where the goalie didnt even have time to react. And the long shot that scored, it was an excellent shot, but did he even intend to hit the ball in that spot. I dont even think he meant to shoot in personally. it looked more like a shanked cross. I think #21 on your team had an excellent shot that our goalie blocked, but other than that i dont remeber anything special. Also the blocked goal was a great heads up play but was deffinately not a great save. The ball was slowly rolling towards the goal and your guy ran up and kicked it out around the six. he had time to run backwards and do a little dance before kicking the ball out. I didnt even think it was going to reach the goal. Your team played a great game and im not taking anything away fomr you because the fact is that you beat us. But i am just asking that you keep the details true and unexaggerated. Good luck in your future matches, but dont expect the same fortune next time around.

here is the problem with sulphur. They only have a few people who had ever played varsity before. This leads into people not thinking about how to play soccer and just making stupid mistakes. Sulphur needs to come back and start playing smart soccer and not the crap that happened last night becuse thats not wut it was. I don't know wuts gonna happen to them but just hope it happens soon and its good. Also everone look out for carencro because that was a very good team at the Sulphur game.

Captain Shreve 1 Airline 0
Match controlled by Shreve, Airline had only scoring opportunity in stoppage time at end of match. Airline keeper had a great game making at least 20 saves.

He has the potential to be. He is only a sophmore, so still growing and learning, but he is quick, agile, and has great instincts for the ball. He reminds me a bit of a younger Jeremy Wimer. Now, if he gets to be as good as Jeremy, only time (and maybe a little prayer) will tell.

St Amant 3 BRHS 2
This had to be one of the wildest finishes, with one of the most unbelievable goals I have ever seen. St Amant went up early on Tyler Melancon freekick--absolute screamer. BRHS came right back and Max Irvine scored 5 minutes later off a a defensive misplay. St Amant fiddled with the ball too long in their end and were made to pay. Started second half tied 1-1, with St Amant having most of the run for the first 10 minutes, but BRHS started wearing them down in the center of the field, and Nick Carter capitalized on another miscue to score 17 minutes into the second half. 2-1 BRHS. St Amant bogged down and couldnt get anything going, and BRHS kept just banging the ball downfield. St Amant fans (students--I love those guys) were going nuts most of the way and it seemed they started to wear on the BRHS nerves. Finally St Amant coach pulled Sebastian Torrado because he wasnt moving and inserted a player with less skill that was more of a banger. The move worked and caused BRHS to not to deal with the pressure and be able to clear the ball. Ball was crossed with 4 minutes left from right side to Melancon who put his hands on the ground and did an overhead backheel/donkey kick into the net. 2-2. UNBEFREAKINLIEVABLE. The Pit went beserk. BRHS seemed to wilt, and Torrado was reinserted into the game with fire under his arse (coach wasnt too happy with him when he came off). In injury time St Amant picked up the ball at midfield, played it Logan Bruce who split the defenders for Torrado to finish and put St Amant up 3-2 and the win. Gators did not play their best, but showed they were in better condition down the stretch. BRHS has a good team-very young but skilled with a great work ethic. Once they mature a bit they will be a very tough team to beat.
St Amant now 4-0 overall and in district.
