Teams benefiting from forfeits. If there are others list them. Jesuit gifted Dutchtown win. Without that win they’re not top 8 in PR. Based on their body of work they’re worthy of an 8 spot. Alexandria gifted Mandeville win. Without that win they drop 6 spots. Waraz can check my math but this is an interesting scenario that effects many teams. It is interesting, but I really wouldn’t call those wins gifted. The Jesuit-Dutchtown game should have been played. I don’t want to open up a can of worms again, but if you win your group at COPA you should expect to play another game. Who’s to say Jesuit doesn’t win that game either way? I do understand that Dutchtown was hurt and it would have been their 3rd game of the day, but they either should have tried to play with what they had left or take the L and don’t risk more injures. (Which they did and I agree with the coach’s decision.) The Alexandria-Mandeville forfeit is a little different because I haven’t heard the format of the Lakeshore tournament, but I’m pretty sure Alexandria expected to play 3 games when they traveled to Lakeshore. I’m sure they would have played the same team 3 times if they had to. Dutchtown goes to Jesuit in a couple of weeks. In my opinion a real cool thing would be that game counts twice. Jesuit knows what happened the first time they played in a scrimmage and it wasn’t pretty. Dutchtown will be the better side and Mandeville beats Alexandria 10 out of 10. I just couldn’t take a W like that which effects all other teams. Play it later but no forfeits. I like what catholic did when Laffy had inadequate lights. Let’s pick another date and we don’t accept a forfeit. To each their own but the truth will eventually find you and your team. Go Griffins!

Mandeville beats Alexandria 10 out of 10. 10 out of 10? Not if they were all on the same day. Mandeville would win the first one and forfeit the last 9.

Mandeville would win the first one and forfeit the last 9. best of 7 series I’m guessing Skippers sweep 4-0, if in fact the series is played on 4 separate days. Dutchtown is going to Jesuit and Brother Martin next week. We need a listing of big games weekly. I’m thinking about some method. Possibly a job for my IT guy. It’s like a secret until the game post. Wish the coaches of the top listed teams would post their upcoming week and possibly talk about the games prior and post. Spice things up a bit. I know Moser and Mandeville’s coach would be down with it.

I’m going to try to get out there in January.

The tournament’s throw many things off in PR. It gives schools a chance to get games in but playing teams 2-4 times, mostly due to tournaments, can throw a little monkey wrench in the PR. Looks like Byrd has quite a few duplicates this season. Tournaments should just be tournaments and not considered in PR.

I mostly agree - but if tourney games didn’t count towards PR, I believe that tourneys would go away.

Some of the point of tournaments these days are to play the team from Shreveport or Monroe that can get 12 wins

I mostly agree - but if tourney games didn’t count towards PR, I believe that tourneys would go away. I think that Tourneys might get bigger if they didn’t count. First month of warmup tourneys only. If I had a new program or was rebuilding and tournaments couldn’t hurt you. You better believe the first month I would have them playing in tournaments. I can see how tournaments would grow easily and allow teams to prepare players that don’t get much club experience. I’m blessed that all my boys have 100% club ball experience. Hats off to those coaches who build programs with very little club influence.

Agree about tournaments if they didn’t count in PR. Coaches could explore bench with out consequences especially when playing 3 or 4 games in two days.

Can someone tell me why North Vermillion is number 1 again? Because Vandebilt won a game yesterday against a team with not many wins, so they actually lost points. If Vandy continues to win they will end with the #1 seed. Calm down and go back to Algebra. Actually, Vandy gained points for their win but the points gained were less than their average so their average went down.
Strike 1 Waraz!
davis do you understand how PR works?
