24th min. Japan scores after McKennie gives the ball away. VAR looks at goal for offside and gives the goal to Japan.
Japan have a go at goal 2 minutes later again from USA giving away possession.

65th - another turnover by the USA defense leads to a save by turner that leads to a Japan Corner. Corner taken leads to nothing before USA regains possession.
So many chances by Japan all came from USA turnovers. Malik Tillman and Johnny Cardoso come in for McKinnie and ?

Corner gives up another Corner. 2nd Corner headed across goal mouth before cleared by USA for a Japan throw in. Throw in covered up by Turner who starts the attack from the back trying to get one shot on goal.

88th min Japan 2 USA 0 USA taken to the woodshed by non threatening defending by Cannon and Zimmerman. Turner unable to reach and get a hand on the goal. USA did not show up to play at all today.
All those guys left off of the roster benefitted by the lack of play from those on the roster. Berhalter has shown that he has this team in no way ready to play.

Outside of the USA, in five games for the USA in 2022, one goal has been scored. I watched the game. USMNT is now 0-4-3 in last 7 road games. Oof. Not a single shot on goal in 90 minutes of play. Oof.
I mentioned the same thing that you referenced earlier to some friends while watching the game... every player that sat out actually benefited from the poor performance today—except the GKs.
