What happened to the Northshore schools this weekend? Has anybody on the northshore beaten a team ranked? They seem to pile up their wins on smaller schools. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Jesuit didn't have much left for Franklin after a physical match with Mandeville. Jesuit committed 24 fouls, Mandeville 17, both teams had 3 yellow cards, Mandeville 6 corner kicks and Jesuit 4, Jesuit saves 2 and Mandeville 4. Time of the game was reduced by 5 minutes while a Jesuit parent had to be escorted to the parking lot. The first goal was an own goal after a Jesuit player and Mandeville defender hit a wobbly flat tire to the Mandeville keeper who fell on his "backside". The second goal was a PK after the Mandy goalkeeper tried to chokehold a Jesuit forward. One luckey goal, one criminally stupid foul. Also, Jesuit had to constantly chase the Mandy red-head kid in the center of the field until they realized he hates to pass to a teammate, and makes the same move every time. Then, he gave up the ball 3 consecutive possessions. Jesuit LONG BALL PLAY throughout the game wore out the front line, and with less time to recover for Franklin, "the spirit was willing but the flesh was weak." Both teams were missing key players. This was a championship caliber match set up in bracket play by the tournament host. How clever of them. But Mandeville certainly did not play like a champion in the first half. And next Friday, they will still be hanging their tiny heads and we shall deliver unto them their second defeat.

Dear bonecrusher:
You sound like the real one, but I can never be sure. Anyway, great analysis of the game. 1st half Mandy lost their composure, forgot it was a soccer match, & quit playing as a team.
2nd half was a different story, but Mandy could not score. The "little red head" should not have been in mid-field but up top. Considering he's a sophmore, he will have time to grow (mentally). The Captains on the team also need to make mature decisions for the good of the team vs loyality to an old friend.
As far as the jesuit parents, weren't they a fine upstanding group. I hear the parent that was invited to leave in the 1st half, tied his sweater around his butt & attempted to sneak back in for the 2nd half. The ref was too sharp, the player had to get his "dad" to leave so we could finish the game. What would we do w/o them?
As far as our little get together this Friday, dream on! ;D

Hey Mandeville, we scouted ya'll and know what to look for. Your fullbacks like to kick the ball out of bounds so we know they have no touch. You play 4-5 center mids and maybe one forward sometimes, and everyone tries to hog the ball. Everyone plays with their head down - no field vision. You pass to the red headed kid but you might as well call him the "Black Hole." The ball goes in but never comes out. We fell behind too much too early this weekend. Gave up 2 goals to central and 4 to Vandy in the first halves. Couldn't play catch-up without our forward to stretch the defense. We do admit our mistakes, at least. Now we will correct them this week. My prediction: Lions 1-0 at the half, 2-1 final. We are 10-3-2 and are looking for win # 11. And District win # 5. You got only 2 district wins, am I correct. After Friday, you will still have 2 district wins. The Jesuit parent was a class act. They were all upset until that first luckey goal. He came on our side and stood behind us not knowing that we know Mr. Connelly.

Vandebilt showed your true colors. Not very good, athletic yes, soccer skills no. I am sure the lame excuse of missing one player makes you all feel better about a winless weekend, but get real. You will always be a football school, nothing more or less. If you manage to make the playoffs, that will be an accomplishment, good luck.

Now, this is the bonehead, I mean bonecrusher I am use to sparing with. Full of emotion, no reasoning & alot of talk. You did this, you did that, you just can't do it can you? You don't even talk a good game much less play it. See you Friday. Wish you luck. Oh yes, did you say you knew Mr. Connelly. Maybe you should have thought to asked him which ref's were assigned to what games this weekend. Probably did not cross your mind. Not that it would have helped you any. Keep up the dribble. Nothing like a little amusement during the day. ;D

Ben Franklin won in an exciting finish 1-0. Reid amedee from vandy was pushed down in the penalty box in extra time. The referee was trailing the play and didn't see the push. In that case, he should have yellow-carded Reid for a fantastic dive (which it wasn't) Franklin worked it down the left side 2 minutes later and one pass to the right, another to the right, and a last second cross to the right to a streaking Franklin player to finish. Vandy defenders had no life in their legs. The last 6 touches were all Franklin. For a team that played only 13 players, you've got to give Franklin a ton of credit. Especially when Menard from Vandy lowered his head and tried to de-head the Franklin keeper. Only a yellow was issued. Luckey that the keeper still has his teeth and eye sockets intact. And the great Picou? His new name is Crybaby. He used every cuss word in the book and the center finally gave him a yellow. He did the same thing against are team and got away with it. Another thing, why do all the ref's allow Shane Henry to yell at any attacker running on the defense. I know he is yelling "step up", but he his directing it right at the attacker to throw him off. He usually yells it when he is making a stab at the ball and not for a tactical reason. Oh, Mr. She-man, are you saying that Mr. Connelly knows who will refereeing each game? I never thought to ask him . . .

You know, I was sure I knew who the bonecrusher was, but was not sure he knew when I heard from "therealbonecrusher" & the "babyboncrusher" & now I see the "conebrusher". Obviously a clinical multiple personality conflict. Were you not sitting under the refs canopy watching the final, Mr. bonecrusher. Were you not one of the 1st to point out the dive by Amedee and that a y/c was warranted. You should work on differentiating reality from fiction. Or maybe, refrain from the message board after hitting the pub. And you conclude your confused message asking me if Mr. Connelly knows who will be refing. Tell me, who assigns CHS games? Please, show some intelligence will you. ;D
