SCOLARI : As my contract finishes in July, I will listen to every job offer that comes my way. Brazilian journalists say that he's great motivator and that he's tactically astute. Not only at international level does he have a reputation for getting big decisions right on the day; and he also 'coaches his teams very well in dealing with counter attacks'. However, the funniest fact must surely be this : In team hotels, Scolari loves to slip notes under the doors of the players. His messages range from encouraging players to perfom on the field to angry, hostile notes that annoy the players so much that they take out their frustration on the opposition. PS. Everything was well at Soho Square, until I saw John Prescott in stockings, sprinting away from bouncers.

Oh no. People who have inside information (for example Paul McCarthy from The People) are saying that this week the FA are discussing a compensation package with Steve Gibson, in order to give the England job to Steve McClaren. They seem to think McClaren will be named the next England manager by next monday.

Looks like McClaren it is. Not my top choice, but definitely ahead of likes of Curb, Allardyce, Pierce, etc. At least he knows the infrastructure well.

England manager might be announced on Thursday. Its between McClaren and Allardyce.
Guess who's playing on Wednesday?
BOLTON v MIDDLESBROUGH
Who writes these scripts?? This is why I love football.
When McClaren was interviewed today, he looked very smug. He was trying not to laugh all the time. He knows something's up. Watch this space.
