These are the candidates for the next England manager job that the FA announced a day or two ago, i would love an English manager to take the job and i think all the players do aswell because i think they would do a good job as manager and the players will play alot better with a coach from there own country again. But there are some good managers from overseas though.

It will certainly be an improvement, and there are tons of great managers who would want the job, so it's really a great position to be in.

Not my top choice, but McClaren is a FA man already, plus his UEFA Cup ride is only helping. Sam is a bit too gruff and Pierce is still young.
Martin O'Neil would be very interesting.

i agree. It looks like it's setting up for curbishley. He can't get anything done at Charlto, and all the other cadidates look to be headed elsewhere, or are staying put.

yes i agree. i dont think us english supporters will accept martin o'neil straight away if he comes to be the england coach but if he brings home the world cup he would be the best loved man in england thats for sure. but mcclaren i wouldnt mind seeing up there or curbishley

McClaren or Curbishely seem to be the top men. McClaren is accomplishing things with Middlesbrough and england would get behind him. Curbishley worries me, he's kept Charlton steady but he hasn't gotten them good enough to press for european places and his teams never seem to consistently perform. i know he doesn't have a team loaded with talent but for as long as he's been there you'd think he'd get a good team put together in time.

yea thats true he should not have sold scott parker to chelsea because when he played good charlton played good. and danny murphy to the spurs there two quality players but charlton are a good side just dont know how to use there players very well. i have not seen jonaton johanson for charlton in a while do any of you know where hes at like if he got transfered or injury?
