I am giving ya'll my picks for first team all district in district 3. please keep in mind that i don't have a son playing in this district and i will pick the kids i think are the best players. no hidden agenda. also i know that my opinion is just that an opinion, distict 3 has many many good soccer players and many not on my list would be 1st team all district in many other districts. so here goes. my list will have 12 players because i think there are three strikers that are so even you can't leave one out.
strikers: belfour, b broussard and white i hope i got the names right but belfour is great and both como strikers are deadly.
midfield: wings, hardy and wilks i don't think many people will disagree with this. leblanc and todd in the middle
back line: st cir (spelling), g villian, credur (the best in the state) and casbonne (spelling)
keeper- the kid from barb.
there it is. i know i didn't mention players from all the teams in the district but thats the way i see it.

I would make one little adjustment to your lineup. In strikers, I would make sure to add Kevin Carter to that list. You are right in saying that it is very difficult to make a first team in district 3, because of all of the talent. I think the only player that is not agruable in your lineup is Gardner ( Barbe's keeper ).

thanks ghandi. i agree that carter is very very good but i think the 3 i named are a little bit better. as far as gardner goes i know his stats are terrible but lets face it he plays for the weakest team in the district. i know there are some other good keepers in the district, you being one of them. however i'll stick with gardner he has paid his dues this year.

there are better defenders than casabonne but other than that, what about josh menard?

once again boomboom this is just my opinion. menard is also very good but i really don't think he is as good as the three i mentioned. i know there are some kids from westgate cro and como that i didn't name that are very good players as well. the 12 i picked are who I think are the top players. ever person on this board could put their picks on here and i don't think more than two or three would be the same.

I don't think Belfour should be on that list. He has a horrible attitude. Also, the Lafayette coach leaves him in all 80 minutes of every game even in blowouts so he can pad his stats; he lets him take every pk; he doesn't play defense; he can't use his off foot; he never passes...let's see, have I forgotten anything? Oh yeah, he obviously only gets all the hype he does because his dad is the coach. Also, isn't he a midfielder? I thought Wilks played in the middle, too. Has Lou been playing him on the wing? Or is this just another convenient position switch to make your list "work"? If that's the case, then I definitely think Ghandi should be one of your defenders. I like your banter, McScruff , but do not take goat's comment on that other thread as a threat to Belfour's playing ability seriously. I thought I would do better at foward. All-state, first team striker right here! Honestly, though, this lineup is probably as good as it gets, besides the occasional biased comment. Belfour may play midfield, but he is much more deadly up top when not needed in the middle. Personally, I have not seen White play foward so I could not argue with that.

yeah, I was just kidding, Ghandi...I have what some might call a sarcastic side. What makes all of those players so good is their ability to play anywhere on the field. I hope the coaches who vote on the all-star teams will see it like that.

Goat and McScruff are so tight, you'd need a crowbar to seperate them. They go WAY back. I'm pretty sure they were in the same class at Lafayette High.

come on tank everybody knows goat is younger than mcsruff. haha at least he acts like it. i can't wait to see if he goes off on the ref tonight, like he did in the first meeting between these two. by the way i was joking about the press box. he isn't there because his work schedule won't let him.

naw, we just need to fit him with one of those bark eliminating shock collars for dogs.
Hey Ghandi, bring coach Lou a bar of soap before the game. Tell him it's in case we need to wash his mouth out after the game.
