On a different subject but still related to the District. From what I saw last night ST Amant's Stephanie Wilkins should be gven strong consideration for one of the slots as a defender on the first team All District Team for D1 Div4. That was one of the best performances I've seen all year, from a position that has no glamor involved. No goals scored, no great diving saves to tip a sure goal away. Just hard work. I'm sure the Lafayette forwards would second that motion for me (no. 11 if I'm not mistaken). She destroyed most of Lafayette's attacks before the attackers could reach the penalty area.

Stephanie has always been an excellent defender...not sure why she didn't play very much after getting released from the doctor but then again i'm no coach! i hope the coaches do consider her...if not then next year she'll prove herself!

True about Stephanie, but u dont want play-offs to influence all district picks, remember its all -district not all district and play-offs picks.

Many many props to St Amants girls team for what I thought was one of the best performances by any team I have seen all year. Its tough to get to see the girls play when we are in season, so I hadnt been to but a few games and only for a few minutes, but WOW. I've been at St Amant for only 2 years, but I've never been prouder of the kids involved in the soccer program there than right now. The girls represented our community, our school and our parish with dignity and earned the respect of everybody statewide with the way the played. And did they Gator girls play tough? EEEEK, they were just pounding on LAffy--what a great effort.
Great to see the big crowd (which is starting to become a regular thing at The Pit), and great to see so many of my boys team there supporting the girls--especially since they have been so supportive of us throughout the year.
Great job coaches Jason Naquin and Garrett Baham for the way they developed the team this year into a well disciplined unit--excellent job of TEACHING. Got all the respect in the world for you guys and the job you both did this year--you guys raised the bar, which means now I have to work harder ;D
As for Stephanie Wilkins, she is a PLAYA!! Thats the way you play right there. I always though she was good, and she made at least 4 plays which could have changed the match. Steph, if the girls team ever doesnt have a spot for you, you come see me--cause i'll find you a spot with the boys! I enjoy watching her play with the passion and intensity she brings to the field. Only a sophomore? That is scary.
Elise Bourgeois--you are tremendous player, and I wish you good luck with your future. I'm suprised nobody is offering you scholarship money to play. They way you literally exhausted yourself in that game with your effort is the mark of a champions character. I will use your effort as a benchmark to get all of my players on future teams to play up too.
Congrats to the Lady Gators for an excellent season--we love ya'll, and we are very proud of all of you.

When do we find everyone who made All District from other schools besides our own? And what about All Metro, did they pick that yet?

Congratulations to both of them. Now ezplayer with have to either find someone else to criticize or slink back into the dark until next Janurary.

Now PumasFC has resorted to lies and name-calling. I challenge anyone to find where I have criticized any player, coach or writer in these forums. IN FACT, THE OPPOSITE IS TRUE. At the end of the regular season, I decided to post comments about my team and some outstanding play and players I’ve seen over the course of the season. My first posting just happened to be on the St. Amant goalie. The thing I didn’t know, was that the district 4 – 5A best goalie topic was holy ground for PumasFC and no one could be better his. From that moment on he launch an attack that I’ll call – she can’t be the best goalie because --- first it was because he said so. Then he tried the players and coaches approach; then because he uses club play in his defining of who is the best; then her ability, then there because she was not being properly trained, and I don’t know where the ODP thing came from, and of course, because he was a self appointed expert (Yea right), then the stat couldn’t be right because he was there and a club coach was with him. Oh yea, she played with a team that has a good defense. (Everyone knows that you can’t be the BEST if you play for a good team) So, when the criticisms didn’t seem to work, he resorted to fabrication of numbers and name-calling. If he wasn’t the one doing the criticizing and being sleazy, then no one could very be guilty. He could of stopped with St. Amant goalie had a great game but he had to say something bad, fact or fiction, simply because in his eyes his keeper was the best. If I’m guilty of anything, other than posting some facts, it for beating the drum for my team, and giving kudos on what took place in a few games. And of course, quoting a number of saves that was actually LESS than what was in the local paper. I will tell you that I’m not a club or high school, coach, asst. coach, parent or trainer. I’m simply a fan of the game. One thing that life has taught me, is that in girls high school sports, its’ not always the best or the most talented who are the winners. It’s the few who work at their talents and have the heart and drive, that are the BEST. Stats only tell a small part of the story. Simply put, in key high-pressure games, when the St. Amant goalie walked off the field. Everyone knew she had given 110%, of her talent; heart and soul to keep the game close so the offense could win games. KUDOS TO ALL the players for some outstanding performances and to the coaches for a great season.

Changing the topic just slightly....
Would like to send a great big congrats out to the St. Amant Lady Gators for giving one of the finalist, Lafayette, what has turned out to be the hardest game in the playoffs.
What does that mean? Most people I talked to said that the Regional round could have gone either way and that it was just a shame somebody had to lose that night.
As I recall, the Gators gave Lafy the hardest defensive game of the playoffs last year until the Finals.
Keep at it girls, one of these days you will finally break through and get the respect that you deserve.

Seriously daddyo, District 4 has been out of the playoffs since the second round. No offense but your district was either “one and done” or “two and through”. Ok let’s break it down, its 2:00 AM and you are STILL posting random stuff like this on the board. GET A LIFE, let it go…your seasons done, over, finished, the fat lady sang twice, the fork is in you. Hey try this on why don’t you start a new thread titled “Depression and Soccer “or “Insomnia and Soccer”.
I'm sure in true form of the 13 mostly parental inspired pages on this thread that this post will create another 43,0000 pages of response……
Please get some sleep "turn out the light the parties over"............

ezplayer, I think you need to review my post and show me where on this subject that I specifically attacked, one player directly. If all of my post are reviewed, you will find they I have been highly complimentary of multiple players on this thread and others. I based any save totals the I gave a player on my criteria for making a save whether it was BRHS, Woodlawn, St Joe's or your beloved ST Amant. According to my sources you posted untrue facts concerning the All District Team. AND when you broadcast the keepers selected I believe I was one of the first to congratulate Stacey. Would you have done the same if the roles were reversed? If you can find where I used non-High School stats on this site show me. Check the Boys side on Gk's Club is the total criteria for deciding who is the best. If insulted you, please forgive me. This is not the place to make personal attacks.
