In District 1, Magnet would be the 2 seed over Airline....Airline has 3 losses, Magnet only has 2...just an fyi

In district 6, 1st,2nd,and 3rd would be Destrehan, Hahnville, and East St. John respectively... I am not sure who the wild card would be... still a ton of soccer to be played though

Yes There will be at least 1 district with 2 wild cards since District 2 only has 3 teams and no wild card will be coming from there. I think NISH or Carencro could have a shot at that 2nd wild card out of District 3

thank you barbedad 20 for the info
One more questoin.. Who do you think will get the wildcard?? Carencro or Nish?

That is a tough question. NISH has a quality win against Comeaux (twice but only 1 in district play) and Carencro has a ugly loss against Sulphur. Seeing both play twice now I would think whoever wins the next head to head would be the front runner. I would give the edge to NISH because of their 2 quality wins over Comeaux (a playoff team). What is your take on this?

I think that who ever comes out and wants it bad enough next Tuesday night at the Cro-Dome will win and has an upper egde on the Wildcard. I too think that NISH has the edge on Carencro, they only lost to Carencro 1-0 last game and I think if the ladies play hard the Jackets will become victorious. They are missing a key starter (Courtney Hoffpauir) that may return for the game but if not I still feel that the Jackets will pull another "W". Even though I feel that NISH has an upper hand, I can not underestimate Carencro. Carencro has beat NISH once already and there's nothing stopping them from beating them again. The winner of the NISH vs Carencro game is going to be the team that wants it more.

Know it is early for much to have happened in District 8 but surely by now they must have played a least one game down there. Someone please step up and letus know something. Otherwise barbedad20's work is for nothing.

I believe St. Amant and St. Joseph's switch positions due to head-to-head matchup in STA's favor.

While it is true that St Amant defeated St. Joe in their first meeting. if the season ended now, St Joe would still be ahead of St. Amant based on district records.
St Joes 8-2 St. Amant 6-3
Refer to updated and current district standings at Div I, District 4 thread

Especially since both teams split the home and home matchups.

District 8. Mt. Carmel is 5-0; played Chapelle (score: 6-0), Dominican (score: 1-0); Higgins twice (don't know scores) and Bonnabel once (score: 14-0). Still has to play Chapelle, Dominican and possibly Bonnabel next week to complete district play. (Note: Higgins and Bonnabel are new entries into District 8 this year).

How are the WC teams placed into the bracket? Random drawing? Travel distance? ?

If I recall from another thread it wild cards are sent out of there own district to a neighboring one. Last year that meant Woodlawn traveled to Comeaux. If some how do to lack of 5th place team entering it would probably be Fountainebleau instead. Due to Fountainebleau's ranking.

Wild cards are assigned by the LHSAA according to minimal travel distance for the wild card team to the host school. The wild card team cannot visit a team from its own district in the first round. Once wild cards are determined, nothing else factors into the assignment of wild card. (Record, strength of schedule, etc. do not play any role whatsoever once the wild cards are determined.)

Again...please update the standings for district 4. St. Amant is the #2 for sure now that it has finished its district schedule with a win against Woodlawn. St. Joe's while splitting the runner up title in the district with STA for the second year in a row (unless she looses to Dutchtown on Saturday), will take the #3 spot in the brackets with Dutchtown taking #4 no matter what happens on Sat.
