This reply is for sosaplayer24 regarding the Chapelle-Terrebonne game. That is not Chapelle's regular field. They usually play at Lafreniere Park which is still closed because of the storm. Chapelle and Mt. Carmel played all their home games at LaSalle this year. Most of our non-district games were played away. There are very few soccer fields available in the N.O. area right now.
I agree - it was a very hard fought game by both teams. They appeared to be very evenly matched. Chapelle had various scoring opportunities and just didn't get it done.
Congrats to Terrebonne and good luck against Fontainebleau. You're gonna need it.

Excellent Excellent game at "The Pit" last night. I figured Lafayette would have some issues with the smaller field (huge turtle back effect) at "The Pit". The Lady Gators, although disappointed no doubt, need to lift their heads and be proud of the effort in such a long, hard fought game ( 4 OTS (2-10min, 2-5 min) and then PKs. Both teams, no doubt, left the field exhausted. Congrats as well to Byrd & Terrebone on advancing as well as the rest. Didn't get to see the BRHS vs Mandeville game, but it must have been a good one as well. Fontainebleau remains my team to beat this year.

Caddo Magnet 0 Lafayette 1 second golden goal period
I felt that LHS came out very flat and the first half was almost even. The second half and all 28 mins of OT belonged to LHS but they did not finish. They had some great shots just off goal and the Magnet keeper had a couple of great one handed saves to force the OT. Both teams left it all on the field. Everybody got their monies worth. by my count LHS 26 shot Caddo 6
