Is Annika still playing for South Terrebonne???
I remember Central and ST playing a much closer match at Central's tournament.
Did she return home to Europe (is it Germany???)?

She is still playing. She just needs a little more support. STHS has come a long way this year and will probably finish in the 3 spot for district. I don't know if she was out this particular game for some reason but she did not go home.

She was playing for the CL game. CL's defense and midfield was able to shut her down, I don't believe she had one shot in the game, maybe one from about 35 yd out.

Terrebonne 3 Ellender 0 Extremely boring game to watch. I don't know how many shots T-Bonne had tonight but I know Ellender had exactly 0. Ellender stacked 10 & 11 people from around the 18 and in. I give T-Bonne credit for being patient and passing the ball around all night but it was tuff to watch. Ellender has some big strong girls and they played hard but were totally out matched. I give the Terrebonne coach credit for keeping his team focused and passing the ball and not going with just score all you can. The Ellender goalie did a great job keeping score down. Good job T-Bonne. You better start getting ready for the teams from the West.

I wouldn't call the game boring but it was certainly missing excitement. Ellender did pack in the "D" tonight but Terrebonne did get off 37 shots by my count. Granted they were not all quality shots but the score could have been higher but as long as you have one more than the other team when it's over you're OK. The Ellender goalie does deserve the game ball for making some extremely good stops but I thought the Terrebonne girls should have been given a game ball too for putting about 1/2 of those shots in her stomach. The passing and movement looked good tonight considering the number of players in the area most of the night. What Ellender was lacking in talent they more than made up for in desire and physical play. Good effort on their part and good focus on Terrebonnes part to continue to work the ball.

Scoring 19 goals on a team is ridiculous..........There is no need to embarass a team like that.... I PROMISE it will come around one day!!

Nice to see Thibodaux's defense stiffened up for the 2-point conversion on the last touchdown.
Well said BYU...it will come back around.

19-0? Shameless!! No justification for that. And I mean "NONE"! I see where Terrebonne will get D3 #2 seed in the 2nd round (guessing Lafayette or Barbe). Let's see if that would be an opportunity for Terrebonne to see "what comes around goes around?"

Here we go again. Were any of the people criticizing Terrebonne actually at the game? Was Thibodaux short players etc. I don't know because I was not at the game. I do know the Terrebone coach and find it hard to believe that he would intentionally run up the score. Where is soso player when we need him to give us the true picture?
Look at the scores each week. SSA scored 15 goals in a game last week. Where's the outrage. The cold hard truth is that there are a number of very weak teams (especially on the Girls side) and unless you are an eyewitness to a team intentionally running up the score by playing the starters all the way through believe me that in some instances these scores could be 30 + to nothing on a regular basis.

No defense for the Terrebonne score accept you would have had to been there. There were no shots that I remember taken on goal when there were not at least 12 or 15 passes made before the shot. The ball was dropped to the goalie all night and worked around to the point of dropping the ball from inside the 6 all the way back to the goalie. When the ball was dropped to the goalie on several occassions the defense just stood and waited for the ball to come back up. Besides holding the ball there was not much more that could have been done accept pass back and forth which was beginning to insult the Thibodaux players. You really would have had to been there. Thibodaux players were not complaining or hanging their heads. They were playing and working hard. I for one was not proud of this score and wished the game would have been stopped. I agree that "what goes around WILL come around" and it could be in the form of Lafayette or Barbe. In addition the Terrebonne JV were told to be there last night and due to the weather many didn't show. Those that did played the majority of the game. They will also be told to be at the upcoming game Saturday. I still agree with "ridiculous" but I also know that the Thibodaux team was not embarassed and worked hard and were getting frustrated when the ball was just passed around. A no win situation for Terrebonne but no excuse made in their defense.

Thank you Mark18 - I still agree with a few of the comments made that are blasting Terrebonne for the score. I will say that for the night Terrebonne shot 58% on the shots that were taken and they took only 33 shots on the night which is 15 less than they took on South Lafourche and Ellender. More than 15 of those shots were taken by second team or JV players. That is still not much of an excuse accept there is a tremendous amount of skill level difference between these teams. Terrebonne only carries 18 players so when the JV doesn't show it's hard. My personal view is that it says more about the rec & club programs in the two areas more than the high school programs. Most of the girls on the Terrebonne team have been playing since they were 10, most of the girls on the Thibodaux team don't play outside of high school. I am working with the rec coaches in Thibodaux to schedule more games locally and build a stronger program in their area. I don't know what more to do for the immediate. Still - no excuse for Terrebonne.
