Cantona, First of all thanks for the information on the game times for Saturday. Secondly, I really do not appreciate the fact that you put my initials on the tread. Especially since I don't know who you are. Since you know who I am, I would appreciate a call so I can know who threw my name on this tread. I'm sure you know how to get in touch with me, but if not , let me know and I will give you my number.

Spartacus, Thanks alot for spelling my name correctly. Just wish I knew who you are and why you would put my name out there. Hope you have the guts to call me and let me know who you and why you would do this. I thought this board is for anyone to post information and/or opinions and remain anonymous. I'll be waiting for your call.

Watajoke, wrong choice of words. They still have the same trainers, but the decisions will be made by the head trainer. Now that is coming from a parent of a player on the team. They still have some playing select soccer and not with them at the moment. But they will be back next week. They should be okay but My prediction is they will finish 4th in the district behind Laffy, Barbe, and Comeaux. Only MY opinion.

Observer, I know that Acadiana has some players missing from the team right now, as does Lafayette, STM, Carencro and ESA. I don't have to worry about Barbe because I know Barbe will be tough this year just like last, that is NO SURPRISE. the Surprise is that Acadiana will not be as strong as they have been in the past. Hope they prove me wrong because that would mean that the district will represent well in the playoffs again this year.

My bad on the initials. I didn't mean to upset you. Blame it on my old age.

fhssoccerfan, Do you think the coach is just trying to shelter his girls? I don't mean that in a bad way. I just think bringing them to a tournament you find out so much more about certain players. How do they play when their legs are tired? Are they in the shape they need to be in? How does our team react if we get down by a goal? I think these are questions that a coack as well as players need to get answered in order to prepare them. It's good to see that fhs is playing teams like Newman and Barbe this year. Because I really don't think that your district schedule (excluding Mandeville) prepares you for the tough teams you may face in the playoffs. Good luck this year, except when you meet up with District 3 teams. Have to pull for our district. Good point here....Mandeville is playing West Monroe this year at West Monroe during the Christmas Holidays. They are leaving the morning of the game and playing West Monroe and Neville at West Monroe...on a turf field after a long day of travel. Perhaps this is planning on the possibility that they play in the State Final which is being held at Indy? ON TURF, after a long bus trip....hmmmmmn...even though West Monroe should be a weaker opponent , they will play hard and physical (Neville is a VERY good too...perhaps a better team this year than WM, and will be no pushover).West Monroe has some good wins in the last couple of years. One of those being Acadiana....a perennial top 5 team ( they lost to Acadiana 2-1 last year...and I believe that Neville lost 1-0 to Acadiana). Looks like Mandeville is planning ahead. Just a thought.

how did Mandy do at the tournament? Rebel Cup? They won it with a 3-0 vistory over D3 Menard. They pretty much outclassed everyone, but were the only D1 school there.

Ok~ After double OT, went to shootout Northshore 4 Hammond 3 Game started over 1 hr late( Northshore bus got stuck behind wreck on interstate) Game tied, I think 1-1 at end of reg, double overtime, and went to shootout. Great playing both teams. In my opinion, both teams evenly matched.

As much as I love that #3 ranking, we lost to NHS and to Mandeville making us 3-2 with our record. The team is healthy this year- had two out last yr with ACL surgeries. The team is blending well this year, FHS always gives us a great game-even though we lose...
