Tiger-Dad 1-0 at half. Haughton came out making mental mistakes in second half, put 3 in our own goal trying to kick it out. First half great defense. Neville started taking outside shots while crashing the goal. we were not ready for it in second half. We are very young and numbers are small. Girls have lots of heart so we will improve.

EAHS 0 BRHS 5
1-0 for 39 mins, then a nicely placed free kick right under the bar for 2-0 HT lead. Second half EA subbed very frequently, but possession game and switching point of attack by BRHS was truly decisive. Will be very interesting to watch BRHS's progress this year, should be lightning stuff. BRHS outshot on goal, 12-4.

Tues. 11/28:
Newman 1, Ben Franklin 0
Good competitive game. Newman scored late in the second half on a throw-in into the box that bounced off a couple of people. The keeper picked it up but the referee ruled that the ball had crossed the line. I have no idea who scored -- it might have been an own goal.
Update: The Times-Picayune is crediting the goal to Kaitlin Ordemann.
Pearl River 5, Lusher 0
Good competitive first half (1-0), then Pearl River's one premier player took over (see scoring). Lusher is not competing for state honors this year and will be placed in a district for 2007-08.
Goals: Kim Treese 4, Malinda Luke. Would have been worse but for several good saves by Lusher gk Cora Parsons.

Tuesday 28 LHS JV 2 Sulphur JV 0 play dominated by the young Lady Lions LHS 6 Sulphur 0 Five different players scored for the Lady Lions. The one goal by a freshman was probably an offside that did not get called. The Lady Tors played hard and never quit. They are a very young team that has got potential.
