Mon. 1/8:
Ben Franklin 12 Chalmette 0 Goals: Jessica Waller 4, Carrie Albert 2, Izzy Durante 2, Melissa Cochran 2, Tricia Travis, Maura Burke
Franklin 5-7 (1-0 district); Chalmette ? (0-1 district)
Will this impress the poll voters more than the 1-0 losses to Newman?

Hahnville 3
Destrehan 2
in Double OT.
Hahnville scored with 15 seconds left in the second OT
Halftime score 1-1
Both teams appear to be evenly matched so the rematch in the last game of the regular season at Destrehan should be very exciting.

Vandebilt 12 Riverdale 0 VCHS coach put jv in after about 15 min or so, also put both keepers up as forwards to try and prevent too high of score but it could have been a whole lot worse. Riverdale played hard all the way through and ought to be proud of their players.

Lafayette 2 Barbe 0 Barbe seem to control the tempo of the game esp for the first 25 mins Barbe had a PK early in the first half blocked by Ortego. It was a good call, a trip in the box. The Lady Lions were on the defense for much of the first half. Barbe had good passing and I would have to give them the edge for most of the game 55 / 45. The Lady Lions scored on a drive up the middle by Granger. She beat the the sweeper and put it past the keeper. The second score was a great cross from left to right Andrus crossed to Burney who finished. Overall I thought it was a better match than the one in Lake Charles.
