Giggsy must have partaken of the Barleycorn prior to posting.
In D-2 St Thomas More and St Scholastica will meet in the semi-finals. Victor will ultimately be State Champion.

if you think about the playoff bracket set up... division one could quite possibly end up Mandeville vs Mount Carmel, with the battles between FHS, Barbe, and Lafayette to get to the finals

I look for one or two of these teams to make a deep run this year. They are all playing good ball at the end of the season and can surprise people that may overlook them: Dominican, Comeaux, Terrebonne, Acadiana, Caddo Magnet, Dutchtown and Byrd.

PREDICTIONS
DI If you look at the brackets, you will find that Dutchtown does have a chance for final four....but I believe it will be Baton Rouge. Mt. Carmel & Mandeville will play in the quarter-finals. Fontainebleau and Lafayette will also play in the quarter-finals. If Barbe gets past Terrebone in the 2nd round, they'll be in the final four.
Semi-finals: Baton Rouge vs Mt. Carmel FHS vs Barbe
Finals: FHS vs Mt Carmel
DI Champion: Mt Carmel
DII Neville, Ben Franklin, STM, SSA (others in hunt...Sam Houston over Neville, Vandebilt over Ben Franklin)
Winner of STM vs. SSA semi-final game will win state.
DII Champion: STM
DIII CHSNI vs Sacred Heart St. Louis vs Newman
Should be Sacred Heart v Newman in finals.
DIII Champion: Newman

When Newman finally comes to st Louis to play on their wide field i think St Louis will take them easily. Two years in the making it's gonna happen this year. St Louis Sacred Heart final. I'll give the edge to St Lou cause they are 17-1-1 and all wins are shutouts. They don't get many goals scored on them.

Sokerfan I agree with all of your predictions except for one, New Iberia and Terrebonne. New Iberia is going to be "UPSET" just like last year when they are sent back home. Don't under estimate Terrebonne I think they could possibly surprise some people this year.

Be careful on these predictions...some coaches, players, fans, etc. are just waiting for "bulletin board" material to get their teams fired up prior to these games.

stickone, no hard feelings, I'm just pulling for district 3, not taking anything away from Terrebonne. I just want New Iberia to play hard and if they do, anything is possible. Nobody will take Terrebonne light - they are district 7 champs. Good luck.

Wow fhssoccerfan!
I see there is no love for District 6! I think tigertail just got bulletin board material. Ponchatoula over Hahnville. Is Ponchatoula really that strong?

To: Powers that Be!
Out of three divisions there are two Byes. Both in DII. Both to District 7 (SSA District Champ and Ursuline Runner-Up). Why didn't the other district champs in DII---Neville 1, East Ascension 4, Ben Franklin 5, Vandebilt 6, Deridder 2 and St. Thomas More 3, get a BYE instead of Ursuline? Who overlooked this? Better yet...why?
