Big match in District 1 on Tuesday night. Game is at 6pm at Caddo Soccer (Lee Hedges). Both teams go in unbeaten in district and after showing well down south at the St Louis tournament.....predictions anyone?

I'll start. After seeing both teams I think they will spilt the 2 regular season games and have a 1 game winner take all playoff at end of the season with Caddo winning a 1-0 overtime game.

Magnet 2-0
Magnet has an incredibly strong defense this year with a strong midfield to compliment them. Their forwards are determined and relentless. Byrd so far has been lacking, compared to last year. They will have a good showing and will make Magnet work for each goal, but it will be Magnet's victory in the end.

I'm not too far off of barbedad20's prediction, however I see it a 2-1 overtime win for Magnet

Should be an intense game that could go either way. Magnet should control possession and have more shots. The question is whether they can finish. I just hope it doesn't get rained out. Caddo 3 Byrd 1

I think it's ridiculous that every other game in Shreveport was played. The decision to cancel was made 5 hours prior to the game starting and then the Shreve baseball team went out and practiced at the same complex. There's no way the football stadium field was under water come game time. If we cancel this easily we will be finishing our district schedule over a 1 week span at Independence Stadium.

That was ridiculous. And as far as my 2 cents go, we would have been able to play the night it was ORIGINALLY scheduled for, but because LSU was playing, they moved it. A football game, unless being played on the SAME FIELD AS US, is a very poor excuse to move a district game. There are time constraints for when district games can be played (before playoffs) and the moving of this game was unnecessary. National Championships or not, I say we play. Let's find out who is really dedicated, I guess.
It wasn't that good of a championship game anyways...

When/Where will the game take place? I think the Byrd girls are in a tournament in Arlington starting tomorrow (Thursday), so they're probably still working on a re-schedule date.

Magnet is going to the Pine Tree tournament in Longview tomorrow and Byrd is heading to Arlington. We wanted to play tonight but couldn't get it worked out. As of now we are trying to reschedule for 1/17 at Independence. I'll update when I get that confirmed.

It is hard to believe that coaches would cancel a game just to watch a stupid football game. are you sure it was the real reason??

It is hard to believe that coaches would cancel a game just to watch a stupid football game. are you sure it was the real reason?? Unfortunately, that's the actual reason why it was moved from Monday to Tuesday. Then it rained on Tuesday, for a minute, and only ONE FIELD was said to be too wet: ours. The field adjacent to it was fine, however, but it is a football field, and a bad one at that. Regardless, I rest my thoughts on a conspiracy with no real way to prove it but many reasons to believe it. Alas, that is rivalry.

it was moved on the boys side too, but that was because players would be missing because of the lsu game. I think that encouraged them to move the girls game as well

They will play twice in a little over a week. My guess is they split the matches with the #1 seed being decided by a goal differential of one, or a shootout. Both teams are solid in all 11 spots and deeper than any of the other teams up here.
