Though I vote every year for the "Final Rankings," I don't even see why we need that. Loyola will be remembered 2009 Runner-ups, rather than #4 ranked team. Congratulations Loyola on making the final!

Here are my Top 10s. My logic in DII is similar to goat's. Great minds think alike. ;D Division I 1. Jesuit 2. Captain Shreve 3. Lafayette 4. St. Paul's 5. Catholic BR 6. Brother Martin 7. East Ascension 8. Dutchtown 9. Acadiana 10. Caddo Magnet you having EA ranked 7 is retarted. They beat grace king... hooray and then what else? lost in the 2nd round.... i do not see why you would put them ahead of acadiana and dutchtown who beat EA twice... I too am curious to hear your thoughts to why East Ascension should be ahead of Dutchtown.

Congratulations Loyola on making the final! I am pretty sure that both #2 Alexandria and #3 Vandebilt would have LOVED to have switched their higher final poll ranking for the title game Runner Up title that Loyola has! Congrats to Loyola on a great season!

I too am curious to hear your thoughts to why East Ascension should be ahead of Dutchtown. My bad. For some reason, I thought EA made it to the quarters. I would have ranked them at #10 with correct information. I am glad that my screw-up didn't make a difference in the Final ranking (EA at #10).

It is fun reading all the posts about why a team deserves to be here or there. Other than to feel good about yourself; the only ranking that matters at the end of the season is who won the state championship. Being ranked #2 to #10 is irrevelant. From what I saw from watching games here and there; it was a fun season with a lot of good teams. To all the teams that made the playoffs - congratulations and hopefully we will be able to see good futbol or Calcio or Futebol or Football as the english speaking countries in the rest of the world call it.

how can anyone put vandy over loyola? Did everyone who did that forget what happened in the playoffs? if you read back a couple pages you will see that beating someone in the playoffs when it matters doesn't make you better than them.....

Did everyone who did that forget what happened in the playoffs? if you read back a couple pages you will see that beating someone in the playoffs when it matters doesn't make you better than them..... Is it really that hard for you to comprehend? Have you NEVER heard of an upset! Come on your suppose to be a coach and you don’t grasp that concept? What I don’t understand is how you let your emotions dictate your logic. Is Byrd better than Shreve, NO but one night they pulled out a great win. Is Acadiana better than Caddo probably not but one night they won in a shootout. Is Loyola better than Vandy NO but one time they were able to upset them! It ain’t rocket science my friend!

It ain’t rocket science my friend! on that given day loyola was better than vandy. thats all i am saying. and as far as us and menard goes, u are entitled to your own opinion of course but u weren't at the game, we were the better team. passing, shooting, possession, defense, offense, i thought we were better. but what do i know right. i was only there coaching the game...... ok so loyola over vandy was an upset. so what they were still the better team when it counted. and NCS over Menard was no upset.......

I love how when goat mentions acadiana beating Caddo, he says they are "probably not" better. The other upsets get a resounding "NO". Just saying . . . And if I could find my smiley face thing, I would put one here.

Come on people, why all the bashing on goat? He is just a lover of the game that is voicing his OWN opinion. You might not agree with it but thats all fine and dandy you may have an opinion that he does not agree with but you don't see him criticizing you...O and by the way lpcsoccermom it was a joy playing against your son and his team in the finals. We were treated really well and I thank yall for the effort yall put out for such an exciting moment for all of us players.
