ASH 1-2 Pineville. Both teams came out ready to play and it was an intense game played to the very end. Pineville had scored 4 times but 1 was offsides and the other kicked out of the keeper's hands. ASH came out in the second half and pulled one back and pressured for most of the game. Should be an interesting rematch, Bolton-Tioga anybody?

St. Frederick 1 - Ruston 0
Field was pretty damp, but it was very playable.
St. Fred scored early and their defense held strong throughout a rough match full of terrible officiating in favor of Ruston that saved them a few goals and through cheap shots (even though those came from both sides). It was terribly apparent how one sided the calling was from up in the stands. I could only imagine the frustration of the SF players, especially their offense.
The offsides calls were ridiculous. Kept SF from scoring AT LEAST three times... that's being generous to Ruston. I am not even close to kidding when I say that there should be a mandatory offsides education class for all people intending to become referees. Absolutely pathetic and embarassing. I hope it's better down south.
Best Offensive Player for Ruston - #16 (skilled and team player) Worst Offensive Player for Ruston - #10 (very skilled but selfish and terrible, terrible attitude -- received a yellow card and would have been thrown out had he not calmed down -- many cheap shots from Ruston's end came from him)
Defensively = Best - The sideline referee calling offsides Worst - Left Fullback but he was against best of SF
Best Offensive Player for SF - #10 was explosive until it seemed he got injured by a cheap shot from Ruston's #10 so I would have to go with #7 since he scored their lone goal...#11 fast as anything Worst Offensive Player for SF - Outside right mid Best Defensive Player for SF - Really the whole thing was extremely solid but the outside right fullback had a great game. Sweeper was really intense in the first half. Goalie communicated well and knew when to come out. Worst Defensive Player for SF - not much of a weakness. maybe the left.
Good game from both teams.

Parkway 2 Neville- 3
The field was in very bad shape and I have no idea what the parkway goalie was doing out there. Its obvious he doesnt need to be out there. Parkways goals were scored by Ben Barcelona and Todd Faulkinberry. I believe #2 scored 2 or 3 goals for neville. In all it would of been a better game if Parkway would of pulled there goalie eariler then they did

The Bolton-Tioga game was nearly a stalemate in the first half, Bolton being unable to find their composure. However, after the break, they appeared to be an entirely different team with direct passes and goals from nearly every shot. The game ended with a final score of 6-0 in Bolton's favor. #11 is definitely the one and only player to watch out for on Tioga yet again however. IF Bolton plays like this throughout their remaining district games, they will inevitably rise above the rest and become district champs.

You can't really judge your season based on how bad you beat tioga. Normally everybody beats them 6-0 so it isn't an unusual win. Judge your season on how you play against the other 2 teams.

Pineville 2 over ASH 1 I know this is a repeat but I'd like to compliment the ASH defensive players for playing a good game...they kept the pressure on all night... It was a good game and looking forward to the next...

Lafayette 3 Westgate 1
Lafayette controlled the game. Westgate's goal came off of a header down in the box and was jus flicked in the goal. Westgate gets to other teams because they underestimate them. Probably the worst game I have played this year. Luckily, it was not against a quality team ( As in top 5 team ).

yeah. that game was totally dominated by SF from start to finish.
The thing is, west monroe isn't a bad team. They have experience, a lot of talent, and speed. SF just completely turned it up and outplayed them...beautiful and impressive soccer from them
