I always love seeing this post, and I haven’t seen anything this year that has talked about this. Let’s give these gk’s the recognition they deserve. So out of all divisions, who are the best men between the sticks?

Hudson Moore at Loyola has to be in the conversation.

Conor Reynolds from St. Michael is one of the best in D3. Has consistently kept them in games all year and was a key part in keeping their playoff match against Morris Jeff close despite the loss.

That young man from Bossier Logan Bamburg. 15 clean sheets and 5 goals allowed during regular season Welcome to the forum Logan, or Logan's dad. Though you are a fine keeper, I'm afraid your defense is due as much if not more credit than you for those stats. The young man from Loyola is very good though. I was impressed with the GK from West Ouachita, though I know it's heretical to suggest a non-private school may have a good player.

This conversation should include the 2006 trio from DIV I District VI and the alt keeper at Dutchtown as well. 3-4 year starters at their schools.
Dutchtown Josh Barrow (Sr) & Brady Carroll ('07 Jr or So) Walker Charlton McMorris (Sr) Denham Springs Tate Fuentes (Jr)

Kinda surprised Connor Allen from St. Paul’s hasn’t been mentioned. He’s only let in 5 (in state) goals this entire year, and he’s a solid starter for TDP.

He isn't the best goalkeeper in the state, but I'd put up our goalkeeper Ashton Jackson as the most improved keeper in the state and probably the one that surprises the most coaches. He doesn't look like a traditional keeper and has only been playing soccer for a few years, but man did he make some jaws drop all season with his saves.

He literally kept both of those matches from being a mercy rule.

The Walker keeper gave up 24 goals but had 126 saves in 19 games. Denham keeper gave up 23 goals with 12 of those coming in 2 games... We also played STP earlier in the season and gave up 1 questionable goal. I like my chances lining up in front of those 4 DIV I District VI keepers. That doesn't take away anything from these other keepers.

Gotta have Booker Henry from Willow in this conversation. Only let in 6 goals all season, 2 of which were off penalties. He was also the reason they beat U Lab in penalties last year to make the Championship.
