We kept up with the goals and assist for Magnet for all the games but we also broke it out against the best competition. Here's Magnet's offensive stats against the best 16 teams they played: Eric 12 goals 3 assist (Eric will definitely be missed next year) Zach 6 goals 9 assist Steven 5 goals 4 assist Adam 5 goals 2 assist (Adam was injured for part of the season) Ethan 3 goals 2 assist Nick 2 goals 2 assist (Nick was great as a defensive mid)

Too much attention is paid to stats. How does the player perform in the games that are important, against strong opponents. I have seen a players score 5 or 6 goals against a very weak team, but then unable to score against a worthy opponent. The athlete who can step it up, perform and produce in the "big" games is an asset...regardless of stats.
