i think we had the whole discussion last year about having the finals at LSU's womens field, and it doesn't seat enough people

For anyone interested in seeing this game.
Wednesday, 3:00, Burbank Soccer Complex, field #12
Field #12 was chosen based on the fact that it has not been used all winter. It is in the best condition and should only get better with warm sunny day's ahead. Approximate size is 115 x 75?? Best guess. Not as wide as Indy stadium, but not a high school field. It should suit both teams preferred style of play.
This will be a great hgh school playoff game!
Good luck to everybody.

Having played catholic, and seen Shreve, I will give the nod to Catholic in this one. Field size will have no impact, as both teams can play on either big or small fields. Both teams have good defending and attacking skills. The thing i think that set the two teams apart is size and strength. Catholic spent a lot of time in the weight room in the off season and it shows. They are physically bigger and stronger than Shreve. Catholic uses that advantage regularly, and will intimidate other teams.
I feel like Catholic is the biggest "sleeper" out there--they get no respect at all, have only lost 3 games all year(Rummel, Brother Martin and Vandebilt--all by 1 goal) and went 10-0 in a much tougher than given credit for District 4. CHS plays a very attractive game, and are one of the better teams I have seen this year. I have Catholic coming out of the bottom bracket to the finals this year. Dont get fooled by last years record--the Bears can play, and they win this one 3-1.

25 To Go. Still 1-0 Catholic. Catholic still with more possession time but both teams are getting chances. Parent said Shreve was somewhat flat in the first half but seems to be picking it up now. They better!!

2-0 Catholic with 20 minutes to go. Ball played down the side. AR raised flag then dropped it. Shreve hesitated, play continued and Catholic scored

Goals for Catholic by Sean Cotton and Robert Brown. Keeper was Brady Hotard. Catholic's defense does their job again and Catholic notches another win. Good job by the midfield to push the ball up to the forwards. Clean game. No fouls until 24 minutes into the first half. Officiating crew from Lake Charles did a good job. Lots of Shreve fans there. Shreve has a quality program. Good luck next year.
WAY TO GO BEARS!!

Congrats to a very young Shreve team on a good year. Thanks to seniors John Michiels, Dennis Banks, Thomas Blyzes, Ryan Watson, and Bennett Bynum for their leadership and what they have done to build the soccer program at Shreve. It is tough to compete at the highest level of D1 soccer in the state when 2/3's of your team and 5 of your starters are 9th and 10th graders. With the current crop of youngsters and if the class coming in is as good as advertised there are some very good years of Shreve soccer to look forward to.
Thanks to our great group of Shreve alum who made it to the match today. I know there were several others who wanted to attend but couldn't due to classes this afternoon.
Congrats to Catholic on a good win and good luck the rest of the way. I know I will be rooting for you to go all the way.
