how is vandy 7th with a 3-3-3 record? St pauls beat them twice and FHS and caddo are both 8-0.

ah... they also tied jesuit. they are just inconsistent. when caddo beats someone worth their time, i will definetely put them higher. FHS hasnt beaten anybody at all.

1. STM
FINALLY some love for someone besides Jesuit. In the most recent game, STM beat Jesuit, therefore they should be ranked higher. Who cares if "4 starters" werent there? Thats like Man Utd saying that they played their 2nd team and got beat, so they shouldnt receive a loss for that game. Finally another team besides Jesuit, LHS, Bro Mart, and Acadiana that has a very plausible challenge for a state title...
Its not like these ratings matter anyways, but I do like how Jesuit people are complaining because they are actually worried about another team...

I've watched, coached, and reffed soccer for over 20 years, and the current STM team is one of the best overall high school teams from La. They have too many scoring threats from too many players for most teams to counter. Good luck to all of their opponents this year.

Caddo's first real test is going to be on Monday when they play Shreve.

Good luck to all of their opponents this year. funny you should mention it, but I checked the national & regional rankings and no louisiana team is anywhere in site. Has our regional director forgotten about Jesuit, STM, Acadiana, Teurlings, St. Louis and other top Louisiana teams? I don't know how a team gets on this list but you would think one of our teams could make the top 25 list but somebody nationally must not be watching Louisiana soccer!

I think that the Regional and National Polls don't come out until January because Texas doesn't start until then. I would think that St. Thomas More and Jesuit will be strong contenders, as well as, the teams that do well in the St. Louis Showcase and the St. Paul's tournament.

Magnet is still an unknown at this point, their biggest wins are over Byrd, Carencro, and Sulphur. These were all fairly easy wins but they still need to prove themselves against some of the top teams in the state.
They play Shreve on Monday, this will tell us something (if they win) but the St. Paul's tournament will answer most questions about Magnet. I'm not sure how they'll do but they are definitely playing very well right now, they are a better team than last year and last year they did fairly well against some of the top teams in the state.

Regarding Jesuit's ranking as #2 in the current Top Ten Poll, I'm not sure what 'complaints' coming from Jesuit fans the poster is referring to, as I haven't seen any on this or any other thread.
I posted after the STM/Jesuit game in Texas and stated that after watching both the Dutchtown game and the Dallas game both teams played well and were evenly matched.
I certainly don't have a problem with STM being ranked #1 right now, and look forward with excitement as to how the remainder of the season will play out.
As far as my comments about the starters missing from Jesuit's side in the Dallas match, all I said in my post was that I was hopeful that having these players would help Jesuit down the stretch, it was never directly worded or meant to be an 'excuse' for the game result, which I believe speaks for itself.

So far the best challenge that Caddo has faced in my opinion was against next year’s probable DIII state champion – St. Louis juniors and sophs, or more commonly called ‘the B team’ - in the first half at the Sulphur tournament. Pedigree was evident. (The ‘B’s played the ‘B’s most of the second half.) Though the upcoming Caddo-Shreve game is huge up here, I don't think either team will gain a lot of state respect with a win. Shreve gets a chance for respect at the Showcase in their bracket match with STM. Caddo gets its chance on all saints day in late December – when they play St. Louis in the morning and St. Paul’s in the afternoon at St. Paul’s Tournament. Hopefully the Caddo-Shreve game in January will be between a couple of Top 10 teams.
