I appreciate your generosity naming Captain Shreve #7 and Caddo Magnet #15. Both are probably overrated, although they will do well up here-they should there is no one else to challenge them. Shreve lost too many solid players last year, and they are down to 3-4 really good players. Magnet lost their coach, which will hurt; Shreve didn't lose their coach, which will also hurt.
Early exit for both; probably first round.

They both were in the semis last year. They would have had to have lost their whole teams not to be top ten. Switch Shreve(#7) with Covington(#13) and Catholic(#9) with Rummel(#12) and the list looks good.

ok if you think covingtn won't be in the playoffs again, but look at last year. they were not exspected to win district for the second time in a row, but we did! we basicly have all of our team except two coming back. what says we can't do it again?!

Captain, you sure you have even played soccer or even watched it? Maybe you should comment on a team and sport that you know something about?

I may be somewhat prejudice but I have very high hopes for the NS this year. I think St.Pauls and Mandy will battle for #1, with Covington right there also. (ALL 3 teams legit top 10) - With Cooper leading the way I look for a great season for the Skippers, ST.P's has the talent and coaching to possibly go all the way, and Covington has Tony and Frankie with a good supporting cast. I saw Mandy destroy CL twice last year, that was the 1st game of the season, and then the following day in the championship of the Piney Woods Tourney. (The only team last year to shut down Wilson), I also saw CL beat St.Pauls 3-0 in the playoffs. The way CL played in that game I thought they would win it all. Look for the NS to have a great yr. And finally, #10, a bit of advice, don't toot your own horn as to how good you are, let your play on the field do the talking - just my humble opinion.

Eckelburg- who do you play for?
Are you asking # 9 OR #10 to show it on the field? I think only # 9 was posting, and he had 19 goals as a junior. He can back up his talk.
Mandeville could have 2 players with >20 goals this year, and depending on who else plays up top, another player with > 10. It will be difficult if they do not go to the St Pauls tournament and get 3 games in, but it could happen.

MHS1: I don't get to play very much, however I do get to observe quite a bit. (Both club and HS) In my humble opinion the total number of goals you score is a totally worthless stat. If you score 20 goals aginst Hammond, Ponchy, NS, and FB - so what. Its the goals you score that win District Championships, Playoff Games, and State Championships that matter. Show me a team that is worried about their stats and I'll show you a team that is lucky to win more than one or two playoff games. Show me a player that brags on himself, and I'll show you a loser. (It dosen't matter if he he thinks he can back it up or not.) Work hard, Play hard, don't make excises, and give your opponent his due credit - that's how you become a winner. Good luck, I truly wish you success.
