Congratulations to St. Louis it was a great game one of the top games I've seen. St Louis's keeper was a savage! Tj Freeman from vandebilt was not as good as I thought he would be. I would like to talk to a St louis fan got a few questions. Could one PM me?

Wow, St. Louis boys and girls champions. Way to go St. Louis. Congratulations to both teams on a great season. How many times has this happened before (Boys and Girls from same school win title)?

I think both teams had an incredible season. I think it is ashame pointing names of players that in the opinions of some "didn't play well". obviously, making comments like that, either against St. Louis or Vandy no matter who one is pulling for, doesn't have a child who plays soccer. Negative comments are only hurtful and uncalled for, especially after a game like that. TJ, along with his entire team, even those who did not get any playing time last night, are an awesome group of players but most importantly this group of young men have character and values. I think it is ashame to use this forum for negativity!!

They never announced an MVP when the trophies were presented. My personal vote would be St Louis" goalie. He played an awesome game, stopped quite a few point blank shots and several amazing saves!

Stickit, I agree. This board is not the place to single out a player(s) for 'lack of play'. This was a great match. In the end, St Louis' defense was too much for Vandy's attack. Had the direct kick goal not been taken away, St Louis would have gone up 2 - 0. St Louis did a great job of controlling the second half of the match by winning balls over the top. St Louis earned the win. Congrats to the St Louis boys for a great finish to this season!

MVP was definitely STL's goalie. He stopped at least 2 or 3 shots that should have been goals for vandy

congrats to st louis on a well played match-fun to watch. Don't understand why vandy only played 12 players the entire match.fatigue may have been a big factor in this game.Vandy seemed to perk up after the pk-too late. Many players which contributed throughout the season were never called upon;would it have been too much to allow these kids 5 minutes on the field?

I agree with iq, didn't really count subs, but St Louis subbed in and out quite a bit and don't recall seeing much of that out of Vandy. St Louis had a larger bench, but Vandy didn't seem to utilize thiers in this game.

i mean i understand that we're there to win, but its also important to play the seniors in their last game, but i counted 3 starters on the bench, i was suprised to see them on the bench, but the boys played well

i mean i understand that we're there to win, but its also important to play the seniors in their last game, but i counted 3 starters on the bench, i was suprised to see them on the bench, but the boys played well I would be interested to hear which starters were on the bench and who they would have replaced. They way I saw it, 11 vandebilt starters started the game. They played their guts out and fell just short. St. Louis are a very good team who capitalized on their set plays. I don't see where a substitution could have prevented this. Furthermore, the players who started the game keeped pressurizing St. Louis to the end, so fatigue wasn't an issue. Subs are generally used for either tactical reasons or injuries and not one of these two were issues for Vandebilt last night. I think the Vandebilt coach was very secure with the decisions he made. This sounds like sour grapes from some people, but hopefully not.

First of all what set it off? The negativity! This is not the place for it. Secondly, YES VANDY DID HAVE 3 STRONG PLAYERS SITTING THE BENCH. As for as the 11 starters, if anyone has been paying attention to Vandy's games, they would know that the coach doesn't always have the same 11 start. There are a few that would start some games. Yes there were strong players sitting the bench, Ashton, Paul, Bryce....they could have contributed big in this game.

Is this how Vandy usually plays their games? Starters stay in with limited subs?
