I agree with Uhigh. The finals will be a good game regardless of who's there just because of the atmosphere. I disagree. Last year's final wasn't a great game because of the atmosphere, even though not one of the two teams were far superior to the other. 3-0 Isn't a great game. Sometimes the atmosphere has the complete opposite effect. If your team hasn't played in a stadium that big in front of that many people, with that much pressure on you, then that can cause you to play like crap. St. Louis wasn't very nervous last year because they had been there before. STA on the other hand.... So basically, the bottom half of the playoffs has no finals experience at all (excluding a few players on STM). That is a big factor, and I think is just another reason why the finals will be a blowout.

If UHS makes it to the finals they will have had plenty of staduim experience. We play on the LSU womens field and have played in many high pressure games with many fans such as last years game against Newman or even yesterdays game against EHS. But despite that if UHS and ST.M play in the semis, it will be a very competative game between two young teams and come finals one of these two teams will make a good run at the title. Also what determines who gets home field?

well it is obvious that the 4 best teams are in the top half of the bracket for several reasons. number one, st louis(nuf said). number two, st freds who did lose to uhigh(in a controversial game) has handled the #6 team in D2 twice(loyola). number three, OCS; country day; ED white: are you kidding me? the winner from the bottom half will be the strongest team who will own ocs, country day, etc. number four, STA's preformance last year(beat SF early and easily last year). Are those enough reasons to confirm that the top half is much stronger.
either way, this was the draw at the beginning of the year so these top 4 teams preformance' just happens to make the top half dominant. it just happened this way.

If UHS makes it to the finals they will have had plenty of staduim experience. We play on the LSU womens field and have played in many high pressure games with many fans such as last years game against Newman or even yesterdays game against EHS. You obviously couldn't handle the pressure of the semi-finals last year, and got destroyed in the semi's. Believe me, you don't know what it's like to play in the state championship until you are there. LSU women's field doesn't count so much for you, since that is basicly your home field. I've played there several times, and it's not a "stadium." And it's not just the fact that it's the stadium. It's more the importance of the game and what is on the line. It feels like it's all or none.

How did West Feliciana get into the playoffs as a wildcard, Teurlings, Esa, or Catholic High would have been a much better match for St. Fred's....just my opinion
W. Feliciana and E.D. White got wildcards because they had the best district records of all of the 3rd place teams in Div III. The wildcards are set up where the largest districts are almost guaranteed a spot in the playoff. It appears that Dist. 3 beat up on each other and three teams ended up tied for third with a .500 record. They essentially knocked each other out of the playoffs. W. Felic. beat out Parkview for third by splitting games with them and then beating Episcopal and finishing 7-5 in district. While you may be correct as far as who would be a better fit, they (Teurlings, ESA, CHSNI) couldn't meet the requirements to make the playoffs. W. Felic is a young team that's hungry and may surprise other teams.

ED White may have a chance to make a little noise. They should win their first round game.

They (E.D. White)won their first round game, but i watched the game, and they are not very good at all. This is the second time that i have seen them play. I saw them play St. Martin's when they won 2-1, but they hung on to that game by a thread. This one was the same. I would expect the quarterfinal game to be like the first time they played St. Martin's when they were manhandled if they play like they did against Country Day.

All the other games are either on Tuesday or Wednesday.

I believe it's because Div. III doesn't play regional matches and thay don't have to have their bidistrict games (first round) completed until 02-12-04, as compered to Div. I who had to have their first round games completed by 02-07-04 if I'm not mistaken.

St. Louis keep an animal? you got to be kidding me....he jus looks awesome because the defense and midfield force so little shots and usually are off balanced shots...not hard to beat him if u get a clean look
