Did Edna Karr win district? If so, they will replace Bell Chasse at 24 in division II. Yes Karr won their district

Looks like LHSAA has posted unofficial final PR.

The LHSAA soccer handbook lists PR tiebreakers as:
1 - head to head play 2 - percentage of total games played within your division 3 - winning percentage within your division
It does not say anywhere that PR only goes to the 2nd decimal that I can see.
Thoughts for a LA newbie?

Thoughts for a LA newbie? We had a huge discussion about this a few years ago. LHSAA says it’s their procedure. It’s not in the handbook. Personally I think it’s absurd not to go to the third or fourth decimal but that is LHSAA.

Posted the updated results with LHSAA tiebreakers and Karr at 24. I miss the old days when bracket day was filled with so much controversy and drama.

To create some artificial controversy... both Ponchatoula and Delta Charter would move up a spot if LHSAA used the third decimal.

That 10 hour bus ride... been there done that.

So I'm sitting here kind of stunned. Kenner Discovery didn't even have a varsity team four years ago, and it looks like we made playoffs. I thought we were going to, but the reality of taking kids that don't play year round with the exception of two and some girls that had never played competitive soccer to field a team seems ridiculous in retrospect. Four years of hard work paid off today!

Might be before your time, but Ponchatoula made the playoffs in 2007 and actually won their first round game. But congrats on being the the second and good luck in the playoffs coach.

When will the times and locations be announced? Coaches determine those. The games have to be played by midnight Friday though.

First of all, I’d like to congratulate all 32 teams for making the playoffs. For some seniors, this will be the only playoffs they ever experience in their lifetimes. The thrill of do or die competition simply can’t be replicated, and the feeling of team unity going into battle is a great example for how to approach a career, family, and marriage. Now is the time to get those 5 PK shooters picked out and ready to go. I’d also like to thank 3balz for putting together the rankings every week, often times after midnight. As much fun as it is to poke fun at his blind baby northshore panthers (it’s true, panthers can’t see for the first two weeks of life, have really thin skin, and their field is the worst in D1), 3balz’ tireless work is greatly appreciated. But most of all, I want to thank 3balz for manipulating the PR rankings to ensure that Dtown can play SSA if both make it to the 2nd round. Your alumni check is in the mail. After ski called the doves “disposable”, SSA girls are out for griffin blood. It’s clear that when Dtown picked a mythical griffin mascot, they used the back ends of a lion and an eagle and forgot to use either head. Dovesdad’s new trainer is using essential oils and Blue Emu cream to get the Doves back to full strength. You haven’t seen such an angry flock since Alfred Hitchcock’s “The Birds”. Ski will regret his “basket of disposables” slander for years to come. Hear, hear!! Really have to give recognition to 3balz for computing all the numbers and keeping us updated. That has to take time and effort especially when he is updating through the night. Y’allCrazy- Not biting on that- If we would have competed better against Newman, I would happily banter and joust with you. Right now we have to get past West Jeff.....

Posted the updated results with LHSAA tiebreakers and Karr at 24. I miss the old days when bracket day was filled with so much controversy and drama. Just curious how does the 12-game requirement play into this? Karr won the district but played only 10, so does the first team on the outside looking in now supplant the 24 seed?

You don't have to play 12. You have to play to 12 to retain your spot in the rankings. If you play less than 12, you fall to the lowest play-off seed if your rank is high enough to get into them.

Four years of hard work paid off today! You and I are in the same boat coach. Coaching "Public" school kids in Jefferson Parish is harder then coaching a team filled with 75 to 100% club players. Congratulations coach!

Anybody else curious about the hold up here in LHSAA releasing the final brackets? Who has the scoop on any challenges?
