Vandebilt 9 - West Ouachita 1 Good game and bad field conditions. Vandebilt dominated but West Ouachita never gave up.

Showdown in Houma between SSA and Vandy. Vandy had its way during the regular season at home against the Doves. But the Terriers face a different team since the premier Doves rejoined the team.
The match has not been set yet.
Eventhough the Doves were down by 1-0 at the half, they were dominating play with 8 shots on goal to Bishop's 2. Leslie Robichaux weaved her way trough the D and hit the back of the net from 10 yards for Bishop.
SSA continued to attack the goal in the second half and equalized on a corner. Ann Baldwin served; Casey Crawford finished with a header from the 6. Crawford eluded defenders and found the net from 12 yards out for the game winner.
Bishop pressed its attack a bit. Failed attempts fielded by Jenny Williams, SSA's keeper, put BS on the defensive. Williams consistently punted balls that one-hopped into SSA's attacking third.

Neville 5 - Pineville 1 Pineville came ready to play and played hard - went up 1-0 early before our defense realized what hit them. Neville scored 5 unanswered goals to finish the game. The mud played a factor with the game speed - alot of slipping. Next - Neville plays the winner of Opelousas & Sam Houston. Anyone know when and where that game is?

The SSA and Bishop game was outstanding! SSA was just to much in the end as they seemed to wear down the talented Bishop Sullivan team. Looking forward to the Sacred Heart vs Ben Franklin game along with the D-town vs Alexandria match. There is alot of good soccer left in Div. II to play.

Tigerdad, Sam Houston and Opelousas play in Lake Charles at 6pm tonight at SHHS on the football field. That's a heckuva drive from Funroe, and I don't think your girls have much to worry about with either team. Besides, it'll be a mud bowl so you won't see tthe true talent shine.

D-town wins 5-1 over AHS. Bethay and Breaux account for all the goals for D-town as they wore down AHS in the stretch. AHS stuck first on a break away mid way thru the 1st half, then Breaux puts to in the back othe the net, one assist by Bethay and the other on a header off a corner to close out the first half. D-town keeper saved 2 big shots in the 1st half and made 2 more in the second half also as AHS played hard for 90 minutes. Breaux completes the hat trick early in the second half before bethay puts 2 more in the back of the net to complete the scoring. Game was much closer than the score........ AHS should be proud of the effort as D-town played there best game of the season...... anyone see the Ben Franklin-Sacred Heart score???

Sacred Heart over Ben Franklin in shootout. 0-0 after regulation and 2 overtimes; 2-2 after 5 rounds of PKs; Sacred Heart won on the 6th round.
Exciting game. Sacred Heart had more overall shots and probably 60-70% of the possession, but each team had 2 or 3 good chances. Sacred Heart had a 1 on 1 with the keeper early in the 2nd half and shot wide. Franklin had a shot hit the crossbar in the first OT.

here's hoping for a good result for loyola v parkway. when will that game be played?
heard about the d-town v ash game: ash had some chances but outcome never in doubt. game was NOT closer than the score indicated. d-town's young defense held strong and the all state players stepped up to the challenge.
d-town v sacred heart will be a good game. hope the young d'town team continuing success.

I'd have to disagree with you loyalloyola but not completely! it was a very close game...more at the start than the end!D'town def. wasn't expecting to have to be so defensive minded in the first half! ASH did seem to become exhausted though and they just couldn't handle the great performance of Breaux and Bethay! congrates griffins and good luck to ya'll!

Loyolla... Who do you think is the best dEfender in DHS back four? assuming they are all young, like you say the are, they must have a bright future. How does LOyalla or Parkways defense compares to DHS's?

Hey coach, D-town does have 2 premier players. Kodi Bethay also plays for BRSC and was 1st team all-state last year and Metro offensive MVP! She just signed a full ride to La Tech to play for Jennifer Soileau, ex-Sullivan coach, ole Miss all-american and Womans National team member. I believe she might be a judge of talent....... ;D ;D Wow! Appreciate that consice info. I was expecting this type of response when I asked about C. Breaux (girl with pigtails).

How is Loyola this year? Hopefully for them they're a little better than they were last year.

The score was somewhat reflective of the match. A tight game (2-1) was changed when a wicked shot from AHS left hit D'town post and came back to the goalkeeper who was laying on her back near the 6 yard box. All the steam seemed to go out of AHS on that momentum changing play. Dutchtown used a variety of players in the back against Alexandria. Jana Kling was the Sweeper, beleive she is a junior. The one to watch though may be Freshman Laura Poche, she played early in the 1st half as a forward, then was swithed to Stopper in the second half were she did an excellent job defending and wasn't afraid to push up into the attack when necessary. She may well have to fill the shoes of those to "Stars" Coach Vyas will be saying goodbye to. D'town had better make their run at the title this year because the road will get a little rougher next year when they join Division I. Make no mistake the players are there, the challenge is just greater. Good Luck against Sacred Heart, we'll all be pulling for you.
