Redemptorist Kayce Schultz 15 goals Let me add that Kayce would have several more if she didn't have to pull back into a defensive position due to necessity. Once Redemptorist's defensive starters return from injury, she'll be on a tear again.

Add one more for Kayce = 16 goals

Looks Baton Rouge High is using a balanced attack to provide scoring, two players with 10 goals each, Carter & Benson, and one player with 9 tallies (Henderson) This combination could prove deadly come playoff time. They aren't going to have to rely on just one player to come through for them. Don't relish facing that kind of firepower in the district.

Catherine Thompson of Vandebilt Catholic took her total to 30 goals last night with hattrick against Chapelle. Vandebilt beat Chapelle 6-0.

Who is Vanderbilt playing and who else is scoring for them. Could be a recipe for disaster if no one else is contributing and someone decides to make a name for themselves as a hard tackler and takes Catherine out with a poorly timed tackle.

Hey PumasFC, just to answer question about Vandebilt. Your right that it could be a recipe for disaster if somthing were to happen to Catherine. Some facts about Vandebilt so far this season. 56 goals scored 13 goals against. Six of the goals against happened in the first two games of the season. Teams Vandebilt have played so far, Sacred Heart, EDW, St. Amant, Parkview, Lafayette High, Barbe, Cath. of N.I., Fountainebleau, Terrebonne, Chapelle, CLHS, and HLB. Upcoming games include St. Amant again, Mandeville, and St.Martins. Even though there was some less than appealing games. I personally think this is a tough schedule and a great tune up for play-offs if they make it. What do you think?

Cheyenne Moeller has 10 goals in 12 games (didn't play in 3 games at the Bolton Tournament) for Catholic of Pointe Coupee

Kandice Champagne has 21 goals in sixteen games for Terrebonne. Kandice is a junior and should reach 100 goals for her high school career soon. Jessica Herradon is a freshman at Terrebonne and has 18 goals this season.

Terrebornne has a couple players who appear to be compiling impressive numbers. Who are they running these statistics against. Top ten clubs or minnows. I remember a player last year for one of the minnows in Baton Rouge, who would tear up the poorer quality teams, and disappear during pressure games, when playing big time teams like BRHS, Parkview Baptist, and St Joes.

Good point PumasFC. Terrebonne has not posted good numbers against top ten teams this year. Champagne has three years of history to back her numbers. Herradon will have to earn her stripes but it appears at this point she will be the real deal. Champagne posted scores against Fountainbleue, E.D. White, Hahnville, Destrehan, Tuerlings, Arch Bishop Blenk, St. Thomas Aquinis and a few other teams that you would probably list as minnows. Blenk may drop in quality when their N.O. players return home in January. Terrebonne did however post blanks against Vandebilt and Mandeville.
One comment I have about this thread is that every year it creates questions like this. Someone post a thread asking for post on leading scorers and then when you post, someone else questions the quality of teams you scored against. There is no way to compare everyones goals so let's just post and move on.

hey is that daughdril player the one with the dad that yells "who's your daddy" after she scores? if it is how embarassing for her and her team. doesn't he realize he is taking away the thunder from his daugther and her team, so he can get attention.
sorry but i feel sorry for his daughter. i have seen her play and she deserves the attention after the goal not her dad. just my opinion.

Yes, I am "Who's Your Daddy" and in no way do I try and take away from the success of my daughter or my daughter's team. The rest of the story is that I have been saying "Who's Your Daddy" since she played t-ball at age 6. I am extremely proud of the success she has had and if you knew me and my personality, you would understand. Find me in the stands some night and sit with me and you would understand there is no bigger Barbe supporter than myself. And when other kids score for Barbe, I also yell "Who's her daddy (or Momma)" if their parents are in the stands. And if in the process I annoy apposing parents, oh well...... Lighten up and let me enjoy the season we are having....

sosoplayer24 You're right about questioning who leading scorers score their goals against. The players have no control over who is on the schedule they just go out and play their best. I hope I haven't berated any player, if so I profusely apologize. It just gets fun to know who to watch for when the playoffs roll around and the pressure goes up.

PumasFC I did not think you were berating a player. It's the same thing evry year and if nothing else gives us all something to type about in between games.
A little more info on Terrebonnes 2 leading scorers is that Champagne has 21 goals and 13 assist and Herradon has 18 goals with 6 assist. The two girls have 39 of Terrebonne's 76 goals. I believe that's a pretty good spread.
I am in the same boat with you on watching the top guns in the playoffs. It is great to see these postings and read about players across the state and know who to look for in February. Hopefully we'll be reading about these 2 in late February this year and see Terrebonne step up to the next level.

If Champagne & Herradon have 39 goal between them, that leaves 37 goals un accounted for. Seems like there must be at least a couple of other players creeping up on the double digit mark. That would put Terrebonnein the same class with Baton Rouge High. A team with multiple scorers should go quite aways in the playoffs.

Champagne got 4 today to total 101 (25 this year) career goals as a junior and Herradon got 2 to raise her total to 20 her freshman year. The remaining (now 41 goals) are spread out pretty evenly between 11 other players. It is nice to see the the goals spread evenly but I don't know if I would put this team in the class with Baton Rouge just yet. BRHS sounds pretty strong and even though Terrebonne has played a few of the top 10's strong, they have still not come home with a W. Give them time though, they are still very young and will only lose one senior this year.
