Tioga - 5, Bolton 0 Nice passing and moving the ball tonight from Tioga. Morgan Burlew fired the first rocket off the right wing early in the game. Burlew then crossed a ball to Nicky Parker for her goal from the left wing just outside the box. Parker then put a ball through to Julie Jones for her first goal of the night. Burlew put a second goal in from almost the identical spot on the right wing. Jones finished the scoring for the night after Burlew flicked a header over the keeper.
Tioga played the reserve team for the most part in the second half.
Excellent job by Bolton's keeper who had 23 shots fired at her throughout the game. Bolton only got off 2 shots against Tioga's keeper due to an excellent work ethic from Tioga's mid and defense.

here is the article from the houma paper...
THIBODAUX -- St. Charles Catholic goalkeeper Kristen Louque made 15 saves in a losing effort as the Terrebonne Lady Tigers defeated the Comets 2-0 in overtime in the championship match of the girls division of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart Cup tournament at E.D. White Catholic’s Harvey Peltier Stadium on Saturday. The match was scoreless at the end of regulation.
"I thought that both teams played hard," said Terrebonne assistant coach Don McCarter, who is substituting for head coach Julio Contreras, who is coaching the boys team in the Dutchtown tournament. "We just have to do a better job at finishing. I would like to compliment E.D. White on a nice tournament (that was) very well run and organized. Both teams played hard."
The Lady Tigers (2-3) outshot the Comets (4-2) 30-6.
Under the championship format of the tournament, the tiebreaker rules were one 10-minute period to determine a winner. If the period failed to produce a winner, a second period would be played. If that wasn’t enough, then penalty kicks would be used.
However, Terrebonne only needed the 10-minute extra period to capture the championship.
In the first minute of overtime, Kandice Champagne kicked a ball from 18 yards out that just cleared the fingers of Louque to give the Lady Tigers a 1-0 lead.
Eight minutes later, Mindy Fanguy sealed Terrebonne’s victory with a 15-yard shot.
Terrebonne goalkeeper Sarah Damen made six saves in the shutout.
"Excellent play by both teams," St. Charles coach Rob Burns said. "They had lots of heart. Our team never gave up but they (the Lady Tigers) outplayed us, especially during overtime. We definitely played up to their level."
CONSOLATION MATCH

The Lady Trojans took a 1-0 lead into halftime thanks to a goal by Lindsey Babin.
The Lady Cardinals fired back in the second half when Traci Simon scored all three goals.
E.D. White finished in third place in the tournament while Central Lafourche settled for fourth.
