Can STA beat Dutchtown

soccerrose, anything can happen when the balls in play and 2 cross-parish teams take the pitch. You can bet both teams will leave it on the field at the Pit tonight. Of course, I'm bias to my Lady Griffins, but knowing several of the Lady Gator girls, I know they will be fighting hard from opening to closing whistle. .......... and I wouldn't expect anything less.

At the half way point of the district season, the records seem to show a pattern not usually seen. The #1 team beats everybody, #2 beats everybody but #1, #3 beats everybody but #1 and #2, and so forth all the way down the line down the line. There haven't been any "upsets" by that definition.
I doubt that pattern will continue, as there appear to have been a number of close games. I'm sure the second half will bring further adjustments as each team as seen the other already, and there is always the potential for injury to affect outcomes, although we hope that will not occur.
So far Dutchtown are the New England Patriots of the River Parish. They are scoring a lot and giving up the fewest as well. Will anybody be able to stop them? What teams will move up and down over the next 5 games? It seems like there is a lot of potential for movement especially among the 2,3,4,5 teams. Should be interesting.

Half a season to go could very well put an end to the thundering Griffins making through unscathed. The next question is who fall into the runner-up position and is it a more advantageous place to be with the way the seeding is preset for the playoffs. Sometimes the way it is now you may be better off 2nd than first because of who you might play. always best to win the district outright. Good luck to all

Good insight. Thing i have noticed and think it speaks volumes for the district as a whole: Destrehan - 1-4 in dist play - They are a really solid team.
