The more I think about it, the more I don't think Sulphur will be able to stop Lafayette from scoring. Shreve put 2 in and Airline got 1 in and Lafayette is probably one of the top offenses in the state. I think Lafayette wins this one and scores at least 3 goals on the Tors. I didn't post a predicted score earlier when I posted.
Lafayette - 4 Sulphur - 1

hey hdkiga just so you will know the two goals scored by shreve were not great goals. one of the goals happened when the sulphur keeper went to play a ball sent deep, (on pressure at all on the keeper) and the ball went under is foot.
i do agree however that lafayette is the best finishing team in the state and sulphur will have there hands full trying to stop them.
i am not going to predict a winner because it is two dist. 3 teams. good luck to both teams!

and hdkjga.during the airline and shreve game, since we were beating them so bad the refs kinda quit callin all fouls they committed, the first of shreve goals started off a punt when the midfield pushed our guy on the ground to stop him from heading it, then it was just him, wimer, and 2 of our defenders and yes they had a good shot but if the ref would of called the foul it wouldnt of happend, 2nd goal it was a 45 yard shot on the ground and our keeper tried to trap it and it goes under his foot, airline goal again started with a foul and then its a break away for the airline player and he just places it past the goalie, if the ref would of called it tighter none of the goals would of happend

and if the wind wouldn't have been blowing 6.43mph then they wouldn't have scored....and if there wasn't a drop of water on the ball that made it skip funny....and if....and if....jeez I'm sure every team that you have scored against has the same excuses for every goal. A goal is a goal no matter what the circumstance, and I have a feeling we will be hearing a lot of them after the Lafayette game.

all those are factors on a soccer game... With this rain that wont go away im forgetting to know what sunshine is... All goes wont be pretty shots to go in... A deflection or anything that gets a goal in my mind is pretty

true but im just trying to state my point, if the game was a 0-0 1-0 game then the fouls would of been called and our goalie would of used his hands, thats all im saying

i caught on to what your saying imeg... I know personally not all fouls are called for the winning team with a big lead because im usually on the losing team lol... I personally was losing in a game 9-0... When a parent came and told the player to take himself out and quit running up the score... I was on defense so yea it made me kind of mad AT FIRST... Then when i sat down and thought why the parent came and did it, i respected them... They meant nothing against me or my team, but was trying to teach her child respect for other players.. sorry to get off topic

I am just stating facts too imeg. If that's all it takes to get under your skin, how easy is Lafayette going to get you out of your game? It's funny to me as a player, coach, and referee, to see the impact that high school players allow the referee's to have on their perception of the game. Obviously there are some referee's that have no business calling high school games (we also have some great ref's). Every Louisiana soccer player realizes that by now and knows that going in. It just gets so old to hear people whine all the time. Having said that, I watched both Sulpher games in Shreveport and without a doubt you are a very talented team. I think if this game stays close early then Sulpher has a chance to pull off the upset. If the Lions get up early I think the past games they have lost to them will play a psychological role and keep them from believing they can come back.

yup thats me... There again i was playing with an experienced team and myself being in the middle of the pack... I was on the right side and they had problems getting through me so they switched to left side and there was nothing i could do, but its a team effort... We were also playing with just 10 players on the fiedl for 70% of game due to injury and only having 11 players there, which put me playing a wing and fullback... I can say how many i came across the middle and saved but its a team and single stats does not mean a darn to me... I am glad i had that game though, it taught me to respect the players that respect me. If you are running up score, you are not trying to respect me in any way.

i don't think yall understand what he is saying imeg4fun always gives props for a good play someone makes and he would never make excuses for our team. Since the northshore game and stuff and since this is the playoffs and seniors last games refs don't want teams and seniors to get blown out or embarrassed, they want there last game to be good. i think players on airline and captain shreve would agree that they didn't call alot of calls in the 2nd half especially when we were up 3 and 4-0. the ref didn't call 3 PKs we should of got and numerous other calls that if u watch the tape i am sure everyone would agree. And when we touched the player we would get called. Those games are over anyways so r the 3 previous ones with laf. we r a dif team and so is laf. and trust me Sulphur will befocused and Laf. Better Be READY!

When I made the statement that Shreve and Airline scored on Sulphur, I wasn't saying SUlphur is a bad team, I was just saying If Shreve can score two goals and Airline can score a goal.....I know Lafayette will. I don't doubt SUlphur's offense could have put more on the board, I just don't hink their defense will shut the lions out. The key to this game is the first 20 minutes....If Lafayette jumps out quick like they did in the last game, Sulphur will have a tough time. I know Sulphur will not worry about the past, and the leaders of the team will have everyone up for the game, but psychologically.....getting beat thre times by 3 points each time, makes you have a little doubt in your team....especially if Lafayette scores early.

I also think the psychological advantage for Lafayette is huge here. A quick goal in the beginning of the game will probably open the flood gates. I am saying 3-1 Laf.
