The good fortune of playing Shreveport teams instead of Catholic of Baton Rouge has help Sulphur make something of their season. It all comes to an halt when they play Lafayette. Sulphur is riding a high playing weaker opponents. They won the games they should have won, but don't be misled by this fortune. Lafayette is on a playoff mission that Sulphur can't understand. Good Luck to both, but the truth is the truth.

i first though this game was going to be played in sulphur but if i read my bracket right i think it is in lafayette. both teams traveled last game and lafayette is on the both half of the bracket, so i think it is in lafayette.
this will be a very good game nike1. lafayette will be the favored team, but sulphur is playing well and gainning confidence each game. it is also hard to beat a team three time in one year. i talk to some of the players on sulphur on a regular bases and they honestly think they can and will win. i hope this game is schuduled so i can go to it because it is going to be a great game. i already know who the winner will be DIST. 3!!!

Goat, the game is definitely at Sulphur. The first home/away criterion is which team has traveled more. Sulphur has played both games on the road and the team that has traveled most gets the home game.
Who do you think will win this game?
Also, Lafayette has beaten Sulphur three times already this year. 3-0 in the semis of the Sulphur Tourney, 3-0 at Sulphur in districy play just after Christmas and 5-2 at Lafayette High in January. This will be a tough physical game. Also, I think Lafayette will be without McNamara for the game. He got a red against HLB.

I hope this game is in Sulphur after having to travel to Shreveport twice. I don't care what you all think about Capt Shreve and Airline as opponents. Sulphur has earned the right to be in the final eight and I know the players and coaches won't be satisfied with settling on getting this far. Should be a great game with Lafayette. Good luck to both teams (especially Sulphur).

Hey McSruff, do you know what number McNamara wears?

19 - Center Mid
I think Sulphur had one of the toughest first round draws. Then, having to travel to Shreveport AGAIN could not have been easy. So, I definitely don't think they've had an easy time thus far in the playoffs. Hopefully the Tors have gotten used to Indy and this next game will feel like a road game.

Thanks for the info McSruff. And thanks for recognizing it hasn't been a cake walk for Sulphur to get where they are now. I know the Lafayette game will be the toughest so far for Sulphur.
P.S. Did Destrahan and Rummel play last night? If so , do you know who won?

McSruff, we were thinking of chartering another bus and driving the team around for four hours before the Lafayette game. It seems to agree wth them.

haha. lol shinguard.
The Rummel game was moved to tonight. The only results that are in are Northshore/Ruston, Sulphur/Airline and Lafayette/HLB.

hey mcsruff, i think dist 3 will win! i'm not touching this one, no predictions! i can only pull against a dist 3 team if they are playing the rams. i graduated from lhs so my heart is with them, but i like a lot of the sulphur players.
i do think sulphur will give lafayette their toughest game in the playoffs so far and i don't think lafayette ,(if they win), wil win by more than 2 goals. if the lions go in cocky they may leave upset.
mcsruff you going to the acadiana game? if you do come find me OK!

one more thing mcscruff, why can't BB play. i don't know of any rule keeping a player from playing the next game due to a red card in highschool.

oh, I thought a red was a DQ for the next game.
Won't you be too busy to talk during the game? I might just wave, or keep pretending that you don't know who I am yet.

Some districts have a red card rule, some coaches may have the rule. The state does not.

I think the red card rule is a team rule and it is if the red is for discent to the ref or something like that......I doubt B would have mouthed to the ref to get a red. I expect he will play in the quarters......I think Sulphur had a difficult first round draw, but fate kinda played into their hands....Shreve had lost the previous 2 games before SUlphur traveled there.....that did play into SUlphur's hands.....Airline was cake for SUlphur. Sulphur is definitely on a role and they have finally found the back of the net. Only thing is, so has Lafayette.....Lafayette hasn't had that hard of a road....they ran over Woodlawn, and had a convincing win over HLB......the weather is prob. what kept it as close. I know Sulphur is not scared of Lafayette, but playing a team for the 4th time in a season after losing the previous 3 by 3 points each time is a difficult thing to do. Sulphur has played Lafayette at home twice this year and didn't score in either game. I think this will be a classic battle between 2 top 10 teams, but I think when all is said and done, Lafayette will be moving on. The game will be close though.

Well, considering that Lafayette has beaten Sulphur 3 times this year, all by three goals, my favor is toward Lafayette... probably not by 3 but by 2... 3-1 Lafayette

I don't think the Tors are going to be intimidated by the three previous losses. As I've said before, this is the playoffs and it is a new season. What happened before now doesn't matter. I may be wrong but I don't think the Lions are looking back at those three wins and thinking they've got this game won already. They'd be fools if they are.
