Next referee clinic is in Houma on March 1 and if you sign up, i promise I’ll go also Sorry! I’ll be in Texas at my daughter’s game. You really gonna waste your time there? Dude, you have no life! That's too bad. I was hoping you could have come. The speckled trout would thank you for saving 25 of their lives that morning. But now they're tagged for slaughter. I guess I'll show up anyways to that clinic. See you around.

In OT, it was unfortunate the line judge missed the offsides, but it was a freak play and I can understand why it would be missed. I was one four refs who were in the stands at the entrance end of the field when that goal was allowed. All four of us said it was offside. The AR has one primary job, watch for offside. Not sure what he was looking at. And Esse Baharmast was once packing his bag for home for calling a PK in the World Cup that everyone said the foul never happened...until another photo from a different angle was shown. My point is unless you were dead on the line, you don’t know if it was offside or not. I’ve sat in the stands many a game with other referees and we also were certain of fouls or non fouls, calls or non calls. Only to discuss with officials after and find out we were wrong. Or video from a better angle showed we were wrong. And go reread the referee code of ethics, please.

I rather enjoyed last year's Northshore vs Mt. Carmel playoff game. That game was over fast. Probably was the refs fault or the poor field conditions though. Congratulations to Central Lafourche and good luck against a tough Mandeville team.

Thank you Sweet Baby Jesus for all of the SSA Dads both past and present that contributed to all of the banter that was presented on this thread. We have owned this space over the last several years, and it is totally well deserved. Good luck to the rest of what is going on. Enjoy the victors and hell with the defeats!

Those are sense of entitlement tears. Nothing dries them quicker than daddy telling you it was someone else's fault. The majority of that team you call entitled is 14. One is 12 So if daddy needs to be there then so be it. The cubs that I know have already started training for USYS national league. No crying to daddy. Bwahahaha! The " National" league. The poor man's ECNL. Where the sidelines are filled with D3 coach's trying to lure ill informed and/or desperate parents to continue their kid's pay to play career while increasing enrollment at their school. --A fool and his money will soon be parted.

Last I checked, the closest ECNL or DA teams are 5+ hours from the New Orleans Metro area, so the highest rated league available to Louisiana kids is the National League. No desperation there. I'm sure most parents (including yourself) would not deny their child the opportunity to play in the National League if her club team made it.

He is still upset that his kid is stuck at C2.
