STM (Fury-I believe) and Brother Martin's (NOSA-I believe) keepers are by far the two best keepers in the state.

To add to what to you said; one of the main jobs of a goalkeeper is to organize the defense, and in some cases, the attack. A good keeper might not get any shots taken on him in a game because he organized and kept the defense of their toes. Communicator & Distributor > Shotstopper. LOL someone mention Ghandi already

Well said Badge and Ghandi. Communication comes from respecting the goalkeeper and listening to him. However without a good foursome ahead of him, there will be many a long night.

Has anyone seen DeRidders goalkeeper play? I believe he is the best in that district. He can keep his team organized in the back... That is the key.

A keeper with a cool head and impressive skills....FHS - Taylor Hovis, don't under estimate his abilities. Watched him in Premier play glad to see him in high school soccer!

not to many would think but NISH has a really good goalie he never gets recognized due to NISH's poor play and record however it doesn't show his strengths Chris Carpenter is a contender for ALL District Goalie i believe

Most of these post are crap...The best keepers in the state are the select keepers. STM's keeper(csc 18's), B.M.'s keeper(nosa 18's), and Teurlings's keeper(csc 16's). Come on now, it take more than just pure athletic talent to be a good keeper, you've got to know the game and how to lead/control your defense.

Also Andrew Mullins from Jesuit is the real deal... he had two incredible saves against St. Paul's that showed his instinctiveness and talent sorry but jeuit keeps its tradition of great keepers with junior andrew mullins...hes a beast Yea I was wondering if anyone else read that or if they were just stupid and not realizing the kid's talent

Add Hans Holmgren of West Feliciana (BRSC 18's). He is one of the best I have seen including his booming goal kicks.

the game i played against that keeper last year, he let in a very easy goal that allowed my team to beat BRSC last year in the semis. Maybe it was a diff keeper. If it isn't then he obviously makes mistakes in big games. Although he is probably a good keep otherwise. (im not trying to put him down or anything, just trying to help out the keepers from the Lafayette area).
My votes go to STM keeper, AHS keeper, Carencro keeper, Como keeper, and of course big ghandi.

haha bignasty, that wasnt hans ... that was me man. i had a bad spring last year (and there were many personal reasons for it) .. and that was a big goal i let yall have ... i was doing that all club last year. i cleaned it up since then. no mistakes. but that semifinal was crazy.
No hard feelings, i can admit when i scrwed up.
Just wanted to make sure people knew it was me and not Hans.

haha yea man. We still talk about that. You're probably one of the main reasons we went to regionals. I'm glad you cleaned it up since then though. And I hope BRSC is a really good team this year, especially if NOSA doesn't form for our age. We would be left with noone good to play.

Yeah man .. well we went into overtime (b/c of me obviously) .. and i did ok once we got there .. made some tough saves .. but i still think about that. kills me b/c i didnt do that when i was younger . and luckily dont now. i think NOSA will have a good team and will be back. Andy at STM and Cajun Fury .. been playing against him since u-13 .. always thought he was best in state.

Yea it's good to have him on your side. He's tiny, but he gets vertical for ya. He is definitely in the top 3. It's too hard to decide "the best" because it gets down to personal preference and bias.
