How can any of you guys mention any goalkeeper's name WITHOUT mentioning Rennie Walker of St. Louis; He has 24 shutouts, which is a new La. State High School Record; While you have to give his defensive guys credit also, Juan, Berto, Phillip, he is by far one of the best, if not the best in the STATE!

lcom, you could have the worst goalie in the world and still get shutouts.

The difference is that I have seen Rennie play and that is how I make the statement that he is at the top; He has made some awesome saves;

shstigers, I guess what you are trying to say then is that St. Louis has not only one of the top keepers but an awesome defense, Juan, Berto and Phillip; How else could they be undefeated and have 24 shutouts!!!

The West Felleciana keeper is pretty good, and so is Danny Landry from Episcopal.

Hans Holmgrem from West Fel is beast. He has some awesome punts.

as for the punts... a good punt just cant be skied out everytime ... they need to be low (preferebly a drop-kick if u can) that a forward or a midfielder can receive with ease. just b/c you can boom a punt, doesn't make you any better then the keeper that can drop-kick it to half field.

Another question is how do these keepers do having players playing the ball back to their feet. As my coach says (no names mentioned ... a keeper needs to have just as good skill with their feet as does a field player) ... sure, you might be able to get away with it in some high school games ... but i've seen games where the keeper is great, but he gets a pass back .. blows it .. and there's a goal.

i would either say FHS keeper bc he had some big saves against captain shreve or northshores keeper played well when beat sps in shootout

i also think that the goalkeeper from northshore made some wicked saves against st. pauls, the second time they played them.
