How about a top 20? 1-4 should be the final 4 teams left. 5) C. Lafourche: #1 ranked prior to tournament 6)St. Paul's: 2 quality wins, maybe should be #5 7)Sulphur: Best showing for a wild card 8)Cath. BR: Cro & Acadiana in 1st 2 rounds, toughest 1st 2 rds. 9)Northshore: Quarter usually means top 8 but Cath. BR (above) 10)Caddo: Advanced & beat Shreve in final game 11)Bro. Martin: Tough draw, Usualy need to win a play-off game to be ranked, Reminds me of Sulphur last year 12)Capt. Shreve: tough Draw, see BM 13)St. Amant: Won a play-off game 14)Carencro: Tough Draw, see BM 15)HLB: Won a play-off game 16)Baton Rouge: Could have beaten some of the play-off teams 17)Slidell: Won a play-off game 18)Destrehan: Won a play-off game 19)Mandy: Could have beaten some of the play-off teams 20)Ruston/Airline: Won a play-off game

St. Paul's didn't look very good against Rummel the other day. They were dominated for the entire game. The score was close, but the game really wasn't. Goat, I would put CL above St. Paul, and I don't even think it is close. I would also probably put Catholic and Sulphor above them too.

It's all opinion and relative. My five through ten are all very close. If it was like the AP or coaches poll, there would be very few points separating St. Paul's from Carencro. There would be a severe drop-off at number 11 with Acadiana.

I agree that 5-10 are tough. My opinion:
1-4 Jury still out 5) Catholic BR - Just enjoyed watching them play(on a wide field they were undefeated) On another day, they may be in Acadiana' position. Also played 3 of top 4 beating Jesuit and Rummel (on neutral fields)and only losing to Acadiana 1-0 on Acadiana's home field 6) Central Lafourche - Only saw them play briefly, but I trust they were ranked #1 ranked prior to tournament for a reason 7)St. Paul's: toughest draw and won in a competitive district 8)Sulphur: Advanced and did beat Cath BR in the showcase( not sure they would have done it at the end of the season) 9)Caddo: Advanced & beat Shreve in final game 10) Brother Martin: playing good soccer at the end and tough draw.

I agree with Spector about why I have Catholic so high. They were just really fun to watch.

I agree that Magnet should be in the top ten. Congrats to all teams that are on these lists and just remember- one day LHSAA will pull their heads out of their rears and revamp to screwed up playoff situation where good teams play each other early. The season was fun and I enjoyed it. Thanks to all teams.

1. Jesuit.......until someone is state champ, they are #1 2. Lafayette....could take it from Jesuit 3. Rummel....best 'd" in the state 4. Central Lafourche...more than Will Wilson 5. Catholic 6. St. Paul 7. Acadiana 8. Covington 9. Brother Martin 10. Carencro
I don't think where a team reached in the playoffs is the best way to determine a ranking. Mandeville(drew Jesuit on the road in round 1) and Brother Martin (St. Paul on the road in round 1)are legit top ten in my book as is Covington (they would have had a legitimate shot at the semis if they were in Northshore's spot). Catholic was very talented but ran hot and cold. Ditto Acadiana. Carencro was talented, but lacked offensive muscle. St. Paul would probably be in the semis if it weren't for a very questionable call at the end. Not much seperates these teams if you ask me. Just my thoughts.

Acadiana might have run hot and cold, but they are running hot right now and deserve to be in the top four. Are you kidding, number 7? You do know that Acadiana beat Catholic last week, don't you?

It seems like someone is being a hypocrit. Mcscruff, you have Acadiana ranked 11th on your own rankins and they you rip on someone else because they are rated 7th. I don't follow the rational here?

Sorry, I forgot to put the ;D next to Acadiana. I was joking. I guess I thought everyone would have known that. Sorry for the confusion.
I don't think that I was ripping anyone, though. I was just making a case for Acadiana being ranked ahead of Catholic. It sure was nice to watch Catholic play, though.
