deridder play tioga tonight at home so if it was like the last game it should be an enjoyable match to watch. hopefully deridder turns out the better side this time.

ASH over Leesville, 7-0 at half. Pharris had a hat trick in ten minutes, then Sara Bindursky had 2, Rachel Miller 1, and Melanie Queen 1. After 5-0, defenders moved to forward, and JV players came in. 4 minutes into second half, KC McDowell, longtime defender, scores her first district goal. Leesville played defense waaay up, even with ASH forwards, which led to numerous breakaways. Final score tomorrow.

Tioga beat DeRidder 4-3 in OT. DeRidder controlled most of the game. Tioga scored 3 goals in a 5-7 minute time span. Refs were maddening to say the least, both ways, but DeRidder just got outplayed when it mattered. Tioga controlled the middle of the field far better then DeRidder did.

With 26 shot on goal to 6, I don't think DeRidder quite controlled the game. Tioga had a makeshift team last night with the central defender out and two players injured, but still managed to pull it off. With DeRidder's keeper out with a broken wrist, Freshman Jeanette Coronel stepped in and did an awesome job in the goal.

I didn't proof myself, I meant the first half actually. After half, Tioga picked up and won the midfield game which really shut our offense down, and our weakness last night on defense got taken advantage of by a strong Tioga offense.
Definately an awesome job by Jeanette Coronel, we did miss her in the field though. We will miss Talia in the goal. For a rookie keeper she had one heck of a year.

jeanette did do an awsome job. but the shots do meen something i guess but the posetion was mostly deridder but jeanette one of there top play makers was in the goal so not that many shots were put on tiogas keeper. just got to say deridder boys won 9-0 and played really good.

Just a quick note that Sam Houston won over Pineville 3-0. Not a very eventful game. Pepe' the Sam Houston coach said he used a lot of JV to give them practice. Pineville was some what physical but nothing that could not be handled. They played hard till the end. Ashley Rudd from Sam Houston made a couple of great stops to keep it at zero. I think it was her 10th. shut out. The Sam Houston Boys were up 1-0 within the first two minutes. However the final score was 5-2 Pineville. Did not stay for the game so can't give details. You all have a Blessed evening.

1/30 ASH 4-Tioga 1 Pharris has 2 early, followed by a bend it like beckham corner from Rachel Miller that went straight in. Meagan Reynolds scored the final ASH goal on a breakaway. ASH up 4-0 at half. Tioga scored on a penalty kick that the goalie misjudged in the second half. No other scoring. ASH vs. Sam Houston Saturday.

I just wanted to congratulate the Moss Bluff girls on breaking the top 10 at #8. The girls are on a roll and should have a district championship on their way deep into the playoffs. Good to see Sam Houston is finally getting te props they deserve. Coach PePe is doing a great job with the girls.

Tioga finished District with a 7-3 record, beating Pineville 1-0. Lots of injuries going into the game, and top scorer Morgan Burlew sat the bench for the first 70 minutes due to an injury that left her ineffective in the ASH game Monday night. Burlew took the field with cheers from the bench and crowd, and immediately put a beautiful header in the back of the net on a corner from Tomonica McQueen. Just have to wait until Saturday now for ASH to play SHHS.
Congratulationsto the Lady Broncos on making the top ten, Broncoman.

I'm missing the Pineville v. Leesville score from earlier in Dist play. I think it's safe to assume the Leesville lost, but my HS football coach told me what happens when you assume...
Someone please post on this so I can give a final district tally after tomorrows ASH vSHHS game.

Broncoman: Did ya see the picture of Regan in the Press. Looks great! Heck of a game yesterday. Those ASH girls are tough. They are also fun to play. It's nice to see a real game rather than rugby. Sam Houston went out with the attitude of no way was anyone going to share the title with them. ASH however, made it a tough game. They and their parents should be proud of them. They are good girls. Sam Houston's Stephanie Stoyanof and Regan Alderige controlled the middle while the defense gave no ground. This allowed the Sam Houston offense to do their job. You should be very proud of Ashley. She is obviously the best goalie around, and only a Sophomore. Peppi has done a wonderful job coaching. He has coached the Lady Broncos to sharing the division title one yr. and out right winning it the last two. Three titles in three years coaching them is a pretty awesome story. Y'all have a great and Blessed day in the Lord. Watch Seattle win!

Congrats to Sam Houston on being District champs. I guess DeRidder can hold thier heads being the one loss for you guys. lol Seriously, a good group of girls with great soccer skills, an awesome goalie and a coach who knows his stuff. Definately love the new District though, more competition for us all. Oh, by the way GO STEELERS!!
