Sam Houston played and won against Parkway 2-1 in 4 periods of overtime. Sam Houston shot the first goal in within the first 10-15 min. of the game. However, it was called back for off sides. Parkway then scored to make it 1-0 Parkway at the half. Sam Houston came back in the second half to tie the score sending the game into overtime. After 2 ten min. overtime periods with no score the game went into 5 min. overtime with a first score win situation. The first overtime ended with no score. Sam Houston scored within the first min or so of the second five min. overtime.
This was one tough game. Parkway is no sloutch team. They were tough to the end and deserve a lot of respect.
Does anyone know the Ash/ Neville results?

Neville demonstrated great ball control, passing, and moving to space to eliminate ASH. 1st goal about 10 minutes in, on a cross that ASH did not clear, and #10 put it in. She is the best player I've seen this year, with marvelous footwork, speed and a hard shot. #5 dribbled well thru the midfield, and their big sweeper(#19?) was very fast. Great give and go movement for Neville. ASH had two good scoring opportunities, but failed to put it in the net. Good luck to the Tigers in the playoffs.
Good year for ASH seniors, Courtney Wimmert#3, Sarah Bindursky #13, Alex Engelsman #25, Courtney Hamilton #11, Kim Wytcherly and Amy Knox #5, most of whom played steadily since they were freshmen.

I must agree number 10 was quite a player and I haven't seen a female player as good as her all year, be interesting to find out some of her stats. I believe I read elsewhere she plays ODP which isn't surprising. But a good game and a good year for the girls and can only hope next year will be just as good if not better.

Thanks to ASH for the great hospitality and Taco Soup! Your fans support was great, team sporstmanship outstanding and great hustle on the field. Good Luck to your girls next year! And thanks for the kind words of my daughter #10 - Macee Crews. She is a soph and before she went down the last 4 games with an achilles injury had 35 goals and 20 assist. She is getting back in form and I think is at 38 or 39 goals now - and we will need all we can get to try and knock off STM. Again great game and I wish the best for your class girls and program. I think we need to schedule a game for next year or maybe see you at the Rebel Cup. We are trying to build our program and started 8 soph & 3 juniors last night so we will be around for a couple of more years.

yes i went to the ASH vs Neville game and the game was decent. I was very impressed to see #10 on neville play. She has great footwork and control of the ball. I just wanted to say how she really was an incredible player and she could defianlty be an all state player. Goodjob Neville on the win and goodluck girls when yall face STM which should be another tough game. I wish i could go see it but i will wait for the results on here.

Thanks for the nice words from the ASH team. Hopefully, we will even stronger next year. It is always interesting to see what happens after graduation and the new team shows up the next year. There will be some big shoes to fill, but that is the same with any team that has a number of seniors.

Sam Houston-EA should be quite a tussle. Expect great hospitallity from the Spartan faithful. That has always been their way. Good Luck to both teams (even if I have to root for the home side, or Pompey won't let our Keeper train with his again. By the way EA & Woodlawn Keeper defeated St Amant & McKinley Keepers in Goalie Wars twice during those sessions (with the sun and against the sun)

Now that the 2006 chapter has closed on the Division II district 2 season, I think we should all be proud of how our daughters and/or players played. We still have a ways to go to get the respect of the rest of the state. Good luck to all of you in the off season and lets get together and do it again next November. To all the graduating seniors, you will be missed. Please don't stop playing soccer in some way, shape or form. There are going to be teams that need coaches. You have a great opportunity to influence younger players, especially those little girls that may want to try soccer. Now go out and do good. We are proud of you.
